Pretty Good Camera

Chris from EA on

United States

The camera has good battery life the monthly cost is good and the picture quality is good but the camera does not always get the picture and sometimes takes hours for it to transmit or notify. I was siting in one of my tree stands one afternoon when a doe and two fawns walked through my food plot. The three deer were no more than 20 yards from the camera and I got 1 picture of the tail end of one of the fawns. The camera did not send the picture until about 8:30pm. (FYI I will not shoot a doe if it has fawns with it.)I wonder about other opportunities that have been missed as well. At other times it gets pictures from more than 30 yards. So I will continue to use the camera but will be skeptical of what else might be out there.

I liked the cameras well enough. Been using a couple of them for 2 seasons on the basic “bronze” plan. Decided to drop to one and upgrade to “Gold” for the pro hunter features they advertise. Nothing changed. The app still has the exact same features as before. The add a stand, add properties, etc are all still grayed out and unavailable. It took my $$$ but I didn’t get the promised features. I can’t see a way to get a refund so after this year, I’m trashing it, suspending the service and switching brands. Beware.

Hacked!!!

Got a notice from my credit monitoring provider that my email and password was found on the “dark web”! Location stolen, Huntsmart! I’m pussed that no one from Huntsmart notified me, and now I have to worry if I’m gonna get cleaned out.

Bought one of these card readers for trail cams.. about two weeks ago.. the app hardly even recognizes the card readers (name brand)when plugged in.. take me way longer than it should to check the sd cards.. extremely frustrating when your out in the bush and it takes an hour just to get the stupid thing to show you the images.. not impressed at all and probably just going to throw it away!!

Brand new Huntsmart Terra Extreme is not listed in the app

Kkpreston on

I just purchase these trail cams (model WGI-TERAXD) & during setup there was a very long list of different trail cams, yet nowhere is this listed. It had an option to search by a 4-digit code stating it would be on the back of the device. There is no 4-digit anything! Is this Terra Extreme obsolete? Is it new? Does the app need an update? I don’t know, but it’s frustrating & the store better give me my money back.

I hate the way I have to log in with Id and password even when I've check remember me and facial recognition. It's a game camera not my bank account. I don't need that much security
