Gets the job done but could be a superstar if...
Ok so this device is able to monitor your bbq and food temp, so what all the gizmos can do that... I already have a maverick thermometer and it works well except for one thing... I cannot put on a brisket and monitor the bbq and food temp while I'm out and about. This is the reason I purchased the iCelsuis. With this device and app I can monitor my food and bbq temperature via the Internet while I'm out and about. No more being tethered to the house!!! Fantastic. It's almost a slam dunk except the alarms and notifications don't sound when the app isn't open. I don't think they've set it up to run in the background. What a shame I can't get a warning while the app is closed. Opening the app will still let you know where things are at but background notifications would really help. The app will actually let you set an alarm that calls a number. Not sure what that's about but sending a txt to your phone is the bbq or food hits alarm state would be amazing. Almost there guys keep going!!
