Well
Very limited news sources, otherwise great idea.

One of the best news apps I have used!
The advertised outlets on inkl still have paywalls for articles and are not accessible. Despite repeated attempts, they have ignored my requests to cancel and refund suscription.
A service clearly built with passion and care for the user, the news is filtered and refined from many sources.
A good variety of articles and a good set-up.
First of all the news is great. Good enough that I wanted to subscribe. So I paid. And nothing. I sent a message through the app to ask that my subscription be activated. Nothing. Another message through the app. Nothing. Another and another. Nothing, nothing. I sent a message from my personal email address. Nothing again. Another, asking for a refund. Nothing. A terrible service. It took my money and gave me nothing. EDIT: Sent email to developer, and still no response, no refund, nothing, days later. I was also charged for a second month of a subscription I’ve been trying to cancel for weeks. I’ve also sent more messages through the app and from my personal email address. This is absolutely appalling service.
The more I use Inkl the more I discover. The sources are wide-ranging and many are major newspapers and journals. There are numerous options for personalising content through sources, categories and topics. You can stick to the extensive tabbed sections (National, World, Leisure etc) or explore the amazing Explore section where you can access a daily bulletin, specific sources, people in the news, and more.
Delighted to have access to global mastheads, from both the right (like The Telegraph) and lefty specialist journals (like Politico). But the only Australian newssites it opens up are from the left-of-left, like Crikey. The Guardian and the ABC I access for free already. No sign of centrist media like The Age, or centre right like The Australian.
Great service which I very much enjoy. But for Australian news it is heavily focussed on SE of Australia. Hopefully will change
Inkl provides access to a wide range of popular and important sources. By contrast to Apple News, Inkl allows users to print articles or save to pdf. Highly recommended.
