App works anywhere in the world. 10/10
App does the basics, however it crashes upon every use. It's not trustworthy in tgat you think the unit is off or on and it's not what's actually occurred. Better than not having it, however you need a new app designer. The one that designed this needs to go back to school. Oh, and for the love of God, place the reconnect/pairing button somewhere easy to reach if you have a two story house.
Every time you use this app it crashes. Also tried reinstalling it. I have also found the scheduling system to be hit and miss. For instance the ac off function doesn’t seem to work. If you are thinking about this ecosystem then don’t hold your breath if you need consistency
Sadly unit does not offer acceptable amount of control for mhi, unit will randomly turn ac on at random hrs, change settings and modes as it wants, Interferes with the basic control for the ac via the remote control, also schedule is a cluster of confusion. To even have a basic run time. Awful
The whole experience of configuring the app has been extremely frustrating. When I first ran the app on my iPhone 14 Pro only the on/off switch and ambient temperature soft switches where listed. I thought “ok I guess that is all you can do with the wifi” After about 1/2 an hour pr so I navigated back to the app and (oddly) noticed that the app now listed all of the functions. I hadn’t force closed the app or anything. Anyway I accepted that as progress even tho I would have much preferred to know how this magically happened. I then navigated to the scenes page of the app. I created and saved scenes but they were not listed on my 14Pro. (I contacted support and still haven’t received a ‘prompt’ reply). I noticed that the scenes were now listed on my iPad whereas they weren’t yesterday. They were also listed on an old iPhone I installed and logged onto this morning. Perhaps the app is not compatible with a newer phone?? Let’s try deleting and reinstalling the app. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Scenes now ARE showing on my iPhone14. So the app appears to be fully functional but what a stupidly frustrating and aggravating experience. Heaven help anyone who doesn’t have a Masters degree in app development when they try and get this app to work.
App crashes every time I open it and needs to be restarted
Before seeing all the recent reviews on the App Store, I reached out to get support from their team. The app consistently crashes when you use it for the first time, and can’t handle multiple inputs at once. Long story short, they lied, in black and white, and said they hadn’t heard of any issues to the nature. That’s when I came to the App Store and found all the recent reviews. When I brought their attention to these App Store reviews, they miraculously had recommendations on how to fix the issue, which essentially blamed the iPhone platform. Horrible way for the support staff to treat customers.
We lost connection due to a faulty modem. Received a new modem and now it won’t connect
This app seems to get frequent updates, that apparently are minor bug fixes, but in the 3 years I have been using it, no matter what, this app crashes *every single time* I launch it. Sometimes, I can get to clicks in, then a crash, sometimes three, but it always crashes. Most operations, like turning on a unit, or changing the temperature or fan speed, will require 2 or three app launches. I don’t know what bugs the developers are fixing, but it’s not this issue. This has been consistent with iPhone X, 12 and 13, with iOS 14, 15, 16 and 17. I raised support tickets, offered feedback but nothing has changed. I am amazed it’s allowed on the App Store being so crash prone. It’s got so bad that I’ve had to create my own actions in IFTTT to reliably turn things on and off.
