Great App. However it frequently overheats and jams. I use the shape modifiers almost exclusively but after about 20 mins of using it through all the pattern conventions it just freezes doesn’t allow zoom in and then you cannot delete a piece and start again. Only solution is to delete the App and download again. But as I say great App hours of fun and productivity if only it didn’t crash all the time. And more recently after closing down the iPad when I next pick it up the app freezes the tool bars half in half out of the screen and nothing can be done to gain access to any of the tools. Once again only solution is to delete the app and reinstall but this is a daily encounter.

This app was fun from the start, and it gets more fun as I gradually learn more about its many amazing features. I still have much to learn and I’m enjoying every minute of it. I’ve been drawing with my finger on the iPad and the results have been great but I think for more detail and finer control a stylus would probably be an advantage. That might be my next purchase.

Fabulous patterns with a few strokes. Great for making patterns to cut out, if you have a plotter, or a CNC you really should have this. (You still need trace software) Aside from that, pattern creation with colour, shine and sparkle is addictive. Love the ease of use and the 3D shapes that can be designed as well. Although I am not concerned with the maths side of things, I think teachers could make use of this in class.

Juergen, you must have spent so long making this app 😃More complex than Amaziograph. More useful than FractalScapes and Pattern Artist The best thing is being able to save an accurate tile as well as a full view. The worst a rather convoluted and unintuitive UI which took a few hours to understand If you are able to persevere and learn the quirks it's astonishing. No really. The app is full of easter eggs I would make the following observations. No fill bucket. Serious omission. Dreadful color implementation - at least give me a color wheel on the edit page I can use. There's only the brightness slider. If i want the other sliders i have to click another palette. Normal color wheel please No close file and open a blank new one. At least i haven't discovered it. Come on Juergen. I'm not being too harsh on you because in spite of it all i'm giving 5 stars. I certainly could not have made an app like this. Nevertheless, these are serious omissions Please make it possible to export the tile and the view in one operation. I haven't found it yet but is there a way of flipping the view to the full tile? Im really hoping it's there because this would be very useful. It would be great to work on a tile with the reflections out of view All in all amazing app. And many grateful thanks for not being a subscription Update. I have found the way of saving and opening

Lovely app, but I accidentally hit the bin icon and lost all my work. I hit undo but nothing happened. The screen then failed to allow me to draw on it, which seems to happen quite often. Please let me know if there is a way to undo the ‘bin’ function as it is very easy to press when resting your hand on the screen. Often I won’t be able to draw anything and will have quit and restart the app. Also is there a way to turn off the touch screen to only allow the Apple Pencil to draw? I’m using an iPad Pro 2020. The app seems great but for these reasons not working well for me! Update: I am using the mode where you draw on a sphere, not sure if this is relevant.. it makes the whole iPad grind to a halt. Really buggy, brushes behave randomly, freezes etc This app just doesn’t work, brushes stopped working.. have restated iPad, always the same. Thank you

Very impressed with the app. It’s a pleasure to use, and I love the amount of symmetries available. I just really wish there was a fill tool! Also something to smooth out lines, as it can come out a bit wobbly, even with a steady hand. As a professional designer I’m finding this very useful in my work.

Wow, what can I say........ it’s not only good it’s awesome. This app has definitely “the wow” factor. Worth the 5 stars and the money.

iOrnament Pro is quite simply one of the most powerful apps in the App Store for visual design. I have used iOrnament professionally for years and I feel that I haven’t begun to tap into its full potential yet. It is great for fun and relaxing doodling, but also has the depth and sophistication to be a very high end design tool. iOrnament Pro is one of the few apps that continues to surprise me with its capabilities, making it a perennial favourite. Highly recommended.

As a professional digital artist and art blogger, I have been using iOrnament for a few years and developed some interesting symmetrical elements for use in my larger artworks as well as some stand alone pieces of Mandala work. My go to app for digital art is from one of the more popular developers but even though symmetry is available in that, it doesn’t do it half as well as iOrnament. iOrnament Pro takes it up another notch. The glistening effect is great and the metallic effects have had a makeover. Export options are here although I would love to see a Psd format, but then I would love to see a 300ppi export too which would negate the need in part for psd export. If we could stretch resolution to 5000x5000 that would make it really useful for designing for print on demand, at the moment some tinkering with other apps and adding a larger canvas is needed. The real upside is that we finally have a developer who hasn’t gone down the trendy subscription route, just a one time fee that’s sensible and affordable for what it is. I saved a few pennies by using the complete my bundle feature because I already own the other previous apps which makes it great value for money. If you already own previous versions, check the bundle price before paying and you could save a few pennies too! My plan now is to create some complex mandalas for social media and export the animated drawing video to music I create using Garage Band on the iPad Pro. Awesome and very well done and especially love that over the last few years, this has also inspired me to figure out the math behind symmetry, that’s exceptional because I really don’t usually do the math on anything! Hooked.
