iOverlander 2 Reviews

Changes have seemingly been made

J Bunt on

Canada

I’ve been an avid user of the legacy version but hadn’t downloaded this version due to the number of bad reviews. But I did today and I was able to download and use it as I would the legacy version without much issue so it seems like people’s concerns are being answered. You have to download your area before you see any icons but that makes sense to prevent the map being bogged down by the entire global database of icons

Useless

I installed the « upgrade ». But it’s not…AT ALL! I work in tech so I managed to get some information on the map in the Yukon Canada, but the frontier with BC is just a few kms away and I was unable to download a new map?? Really? So I read the comments on the App Store and now I understand… I delete this app.

Absolutely horrible

Dubai Driller on

What a waste of time to upload an “ improved “ app. Can’t use it for any type of trip planning or finding stops unless you have downloaded the map. Way worse than the original version. Deleted this waste of space app.

This ain’t it

DirtMcGirtt on

I’m sorry to announce that this is inferior in every way. It’s slower to load. The map is worse. And it overall feels like a lesser product. Should have just rolled ads into the old one. Maybe there’s some backend stuff that you guys changed that we as users don’t really know about but I’ve uninstalled the this and I’m just using the old.

Unable to run

As other review stated I downloaded and subscribed but have no access to downloaded maps etc. I’m going to cancel before I pay as I’m unable to try any of the features

Terrible. Whoever owns this has lost the plot

First I want to address the new sloppy app. When you have to "re-register" they ask you for your website URL with an example listed in the small box. When you type it in, in the way they suggest in the example , it then makes you have to put in HTTP, or HTTPS. Even though, that is NITA illustrated in the example in the box. Sloppy sloppy sloppy. But the sloppiness continues. And this leads to my next point. What a silly silly idea this was to have a second version. WE are your data sources. WE are the ones who give you the information. This is crowd sourced!! And now you're trying to make me pay so I can contribute? You are trying to make me pay so I can read other people giving you FREE contributions? Oh my gosh. The gall you people have. You've lost the plot Without all of us Overlanders, you would have ZERO data points to sell. And now you're forcing me into a plan so I can read what other people like me have contributed? Worse, my old contributions are gone. I had plenty. Now they're gone. Whoever you are, you have messed this up so bad. You almost look like allstays at this point that's how bad it is. You've destroyed a great community. And all the goodwill we had for what you were doing. I think it's time for a mea culpa, and a reset. Otherwise you will lose us all forever. And in the process, you will lose your business.

Do not update app

Singthesorrow-6 on

Canada

Updating app totally clears the map and no filters work.

Useless!

NOT Impressed333 on

There is absolutely nothing on the map. I mean, literally, it’s just a map, no markers for a single thing, no campgrounds, established or otherwise. Not sure why this app exists. Don’t waste your time.

Why would anyone subscribe to this?

Notarecommend on

Canada

Seems it has less features.

What happened?

ShebaCH on

Canada

I just updated and now the maps are blank. I’m happy to live with the ads for the free version but the maps are blank? Loved the older version and I understand that the free version of any app won’t be as good as the paid version but apparently, there is nothing available now unless you pay. Disappointed :(
