Bad upgrade
After I uploaded a lot of nice camping spots I’m not longer aloud to search on the map and check out spots or border information somewhere in the world just for fun. Very sad that all the afford travelers put in this app is now a way to earn money. I’m looking for a way to remove all the spots I once placed on. I’m really disappointed IOverlander.
Only for the money
Looking at how iOverlander 2 is set up, one thing becomes clear. This “update” is only for the makers about making money.
A nightmare for users.
Hopefully the original one remains online because that is working perfect
Unfortunately finally advertisement
Love the simple old IOverlander app. Now starting to monetise (logically) but user interface is messy and no improvement in my opinion. Also downloads per country now requires (like maps.me).
Very nice upgrade from v1
Improved app with offline data.
A must have for overlanders
Flabbergasted
This 2nd app of iOverlander is so much better. Absolutely a must have for every overlander. Now you can add favourites and download the data and geographic maps you wish. Soo much more advantages. Thanks to guys who made it possible!
Awful confusing
This app is terrible the original one is way better. This app makes you download different areas when looking for sites and then it’s confusing to actually see what you downloaded. If I could give this zero stars I would.
Can’t see anything!
I only downloaded this because I downloaded the original version and it recommended I download this newer version, however, it doesn’t show me anything! I have toggled all of the filters, tried changing location just for it to show me something, but nothing…. I like the older version better.
Love it
Yes, I will agree, It’s a little different from the first version but I love this new version once you get into it and learn it (which did take a little bit at first). We traveled 200 nights in this year (2024) and 100 of them (approximately) were Boondocking - I found almost all of them on this app. It’s so easy to see where the location is, what the reviews say about it, and the photos really help.
