Description

Dissatisfied with the official Quicken iOS apps and only need to enter receipts on-the-go? Looking for a solution for entering Gnucash transactions on the go? iQIF is perfect for you. We now support importing of .gnucash XML export of Accounts!

iQIF allows you to effortlessly create transactions on your iOS device and when ready, export them via a QIF file which can be imported by Quicken, GnuCash or any other money managing application. It is NOT a bloated pocket version of a money managing application, but simply a mobile transaction-creating interface (i.e. it does not sync both ways with Quicken). Hopefully others will have found this as useful as I have. Please note that your desktop finance application must be able to import QIF files.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- PLEASE VERIFY YOUR VERSION OF QUICKEN CAN IMPORT QIF FILES BEFORE PURCHASING. There are some newer versions where Intuit has been trying to deprecate the use of the QIF format in favor of the proprietary OFX format. DOES NOT WORK WITH QUICKEN ESSENTIALS.

*** PLEASE CONTACT ME PERSONALLY WITH PROBLEMS BEFORE GIVING UP ON iQIF - Unfortunately I cannot contact those who leave reviews expressing dissatisfaction, but in many cases I might have been able to remedy the issue and possibly help others having the same issue. ***

Exactly what I was looking for

Thank you for this! Absolutely perfect for jotting down transactions when out and about to import into MS Money.

Time saver!!

.Iwest on

Very useful to enter transactions on the fly (for ex cash). I use it with gnucash and it works perfectly as you can import (initially) your accounts tree into iQIF and export transactions back into gnucash with corresponding accounts recognised like a charm. User interface is very well done and easy to use.

It does not import/export to apple devices

Bobbybunion on

Since it relied on a feature apple removed from iTunes 2 years ago its impossible to import or export any of its data to a GNUCash program running on a Mac.

A holiday must

Great App, simple and easy to use, shows is prowess when I’m away from home for a few days. And lots of Transactions Entering my expenditure as I go. On returning home I transfer the transactions to my main PC Banking App Ace Money . 1st class App.

Good gnucash companion

djjrjej on

This app is a great companion to my gnucash accounting system. Transaction entries are easy to input and exported in the right format. All other options on the App Store are bloated and expensive.

Brilliant

I find this program brilliant. Don't want to take my MacBook camping or on other trips, so I can enter transactions on this app then sync with my finance program (SEE Finance) when I get home. No problems so far. Highly recommended.
