Issues from last version resolved thankfully

Terrible

Was a great app recently updated won't load any articles at all.

App rating

Does The Independent have spell check? Shocking spelling errors in a quarter of all stories. I have also noticed it naming persons who have died and in the next paragraph saying the police are not releasing the name until the family have been contacted. I do like the timely updates from the application.

Needs improvement

Usability needs more thought. Scroll at bottom to get between sections makes it slow to get to what you want. And frequency cap the annoying ad if you have to keep it - reappearing between every section is enough to make me stop using the app

Don't bother!

Basic but functional app even if you can't update while on the go. But now that annoying National Lottery ad takes over the screen. Not only when you open the app, but also changing from 'top stories' to 'national news'. Huge overkill & complete disregard for audience experience. Am deleting & going to The Irish Times app.

Pointless if you're on the go

Decent app if you're sitting at home on a stable wifi connection. But if you're out and about on 3G you constantly get that annoying "there isn't sufficient data connection to update your articles" message and it keeps appearing every second until you get back in range! The standard Apple spinning wheel just wasn't enough for your designers, eh?

Slow, simple

Bit slow and too simple but does the job. Ads at the bottom of articles are annoying.
