The Irish Times News Reviews

This app. HAS landscape mode!

phylomena on

Australia

I almost didn't try this app because of the many, many featured comments that complained that it doesn't have landscape mode. It does SO have landscape mode. So maybe do developer responses to those people asking them to update their reviews? UPDATE: I have modified my review from five stars to one star because apparently I am meant to PAY to read articles in landscape mode. That is unacceptable.

Landscape. Why not?

Cuill on

Australia

Landscape. Landscape. Why on EARTH will you not enable landscape on the iPad like EVERY OTHER NEWS app. This is such an important news resource but while I browse I avoid it and go with other Irish news apps that have mastered the landscape technology breakthrough 10 years ago. Very disappointing

One day...

Leinster@2014_ on

Australia

One day we’ll be able to view landscape... One day the developers will actually acknowledge the feedback sent to them... One day this news app won’t annoy the hell out of me...

What have you done!!

What an improvement! The best news app around

Don't buy just use the Website

AengusM on

Australia

Concept is great but the ads on each page make it annoying on an iPhone to the point that the website via the browser is better. I deleted the app within 5 mins of downloading.

Good app

Jrc88 on

Australia

Good app, I like to get international news from overseas sources and this one is great, great way to keep up with news from the emerald isle too.

Need a map to navigate

Ger Ryan on

Ireland

App is good when you’re reading stories and scrolling, however the issue arises when you hit the back button, thinking it will take to the previous page. However it jumps ahead or forward, effectively losing where you left off, forcing you to scroll up or down to get you back to where you want to be. Reading the other reviews, this is an ongoing common problem.

Terrible app

Clarinet Dublin on

Ireland

Navigation is non-standard , and just a dreadful design. And the app is constantly logging me out. The login screen just freezes one time in three or so. Just a really bad, amateur piece of work.

No integrity

Alpal24245 on

Ireland

Lost all respect for IT, was an avid reader in previous years, but it’s blatant bias is becoming more apparent
