Fills a crucial gap in the iPhone's software lineup
Lack of VoIP used to be my single point of criticism against the iPhone, but SipPhone does away with it. It's an unlocked SIP client which can be used with any SIP provider. Just be aware that VoIP over 3G is not supported, but this restriction is not specific to this app. After initial setup I had a problem with one-way audio, but after contacting Vnet Corp's support (which speedily replied to me within a couple of hours), a suggestion to use a STUN server solved this last hurdle and I'm finally enjoying lag-free, good quality VoIP on my iPhone. Be warned that it doesn't support the most efficient G.729 voice codec, only G.711 and GSM, although it shouldn't be a problem except with the most strained of net connections. There's a lot of potential for polish in the app (e.g. improved graphics and UI), but in the end it does its stated job very well.
Excellente application
Marche très bien avec OVH! Bonne qualité de son. DTMS marche bien.
