This one was great for when the kids were first learning about letters and numbers. An excellent resource

Fantastic app to develop letter formation, would love the option for letter sounds rather than letter names to develop phonological awareness.

Simple but great

Perfect prep and pre-prep game for learning to write. Suggestion - move the stop and play buttons to the top of the screen so they aren't accidentally bumped when putting the boxes in the hole. Love it!

Cute app for kids. Money well spent. Very effective way for teaching them to write numbers and letters, and very good graphics. Could benefit from some more game-type elements to hold their attention for longer as it is a little too tedious for the 5 and 3yr old that use it. They enjoy putting the boxes into the black hole, but those stop/play buttons kind of get in the way and they tend to accidentally tapthem. I find that the alphabet song is enjoyed by the kids but has little teaching/learning value. The transition between the completed letter/word and next one is a little too slow. For numbers on the dice, it would be better to illustrate the numbers in base-ten form as that could help introduce place value. And perhaps for those pictures of the dice, they could even be pictures and the kids interact with them in some way? E.g. They put the correct number of say, bees into a hive to represent that number traced. This could be an optional thing turned on/off in settings to make it more appropriate and accessible for a broader age group. Also, one slight 'flaw' is that you use numbers to show the order/sequence of tracing the number/letter. This assumes that the kids already know their numbers and if they do, makes the activity of tracing the numbers irrelevant. Though it does help reinforce their understanding of sequencing... It's hard to know what is best. Perhaps arrows would be more relevant?

My 5 year old son loves this, and his teacher is impressed with his ability to read at school, so obviously it works. More impressive still is that this app is my 2 year olds favorite. I'm glad he's getting a head start with the alphabet and letter formation, and he thinks he's having a ball. And it's free. What more could I possibly want?

THANK YOU!

My four year old son would not sit down or take any direction from us when it came to learning to write. We bought him a stylus (that looks like a school pencil) and he now writes all his letters. He loves the app and it works really well. So thank you do very much in starting my son to be interested in writing and learning the alphabet!
