Great BD/comics catalog, HOWEVER… For years now the Izneo app has been suffering from many bugs that strongly affect its usability. By app standards such bugs would be considered as release showstoppers, or at the very least, high priority fixes for the next version. Yet the Izneo team has not made the effort to address them. Some examples: 1) Often times you would purchase an album and it would not load when attempting to read it, instead you’d get stuck on a spinner with no ability to even cancel out that state and retry. Your only option is to force quit the app, reopen and hope for the best. Some times it happens after reading a few pages. In other words, you purchase an album about $10 and are unable to consume your purchase… ! This has been going on for years. 2) For some obscure reasons, scrolling all the way down a page bounces you to the previous page ?! That does not make any sense and should not be hard to fix. 3) The library section is awfully bugged. Although it offers options to sort your albums by date of last purchase, it does not work. It seems to only recognize new series. So say that you buy the first album of a new serie ‘A’ then you’re in luck: ‘A’ will be listed first in your library. But then start other series and later on, when the second the second album of ‘A’ becomes available you decide to purchase it, it will get lost in your library: the app will not update the sorting of your last our purchases to show that album at the top. 4) The search algorithm is antiquated. At best, it seems to run a match of all the words you type against the series names with no regards for relevancy. 5) Very poor memory management: the app responsiveness degrades as you turn pages. Touch response & scrolling become slow. You need to exit the album and reopen it to return to a normal state. The list goes on. I’ve experienced these issues for years now (on iPad Pro 2nd and then 3rd generation running the last iPad OS version), and none of the Izneo app updates has ever addressed them. I finally decided to submit some feedback when, again, I purchased an album that would not open (Terres D’Ogon, tome 3). Imagine you would purchase something on Amazon that would not arrive, or a movie on iTunes that would not play. That’s illegal. Please, please, please Izneo team put more efforts in testing your app and fixing your bugs!!

What’s the problem with my BD!?? I already renewed and paid 8€ per month. Now all the comics charge me a fee and my subscription totally doesn’t work! I cannot even access the comics! Please fix it right away!

Amazing app and service really sad to hear it shining diwn

1. Cannot Change password when login using apple id (I do not know my current password since setup using Apple ID creates a password I do not know) 2. iOS mobile app has no place to redeem purchases 3. On Web version, no way to login using Apple Login. Facebook Single Sign-On and regular Sign-On are the only options 4. Redemption instructions require me to go to Settings and then Payment Method settings. In the iOS version of the app this page does not appear to exist since all payments go through Apple Pay (I traversed all the menus but could not find it) (if it does exist it is about as hard to find as an easter egg) Devs please walkthrough your user stories and make sure you users can achieve each given use case without going to great lengths. Hire a User Experience expert and just walkthrough each scenario. I am willing to change my review if you fix the user experience for the product defects stated above.

I'd like to sub please, if you'd let me sub then I'd be happy. The website doesn't work and neither does the app.

I downloaded on my switch because I could read manga I logged in and it was super glitchy. I tried to read but it said there was an error connecting to the server. I kept on trying after that but it wouldn’t work. I downloaded it on my phone but you have to log in to download books and it wouldn’t let me log in. This app is a waste of time there are way better apps out there don’t even bother.

i am in USA where bandes dessinées don’t exist a such. so i was expecting a lot from this app. Unfortunately there’s so many bugs that i will keep on ordering hard copy. very disappointed

I’ve been a customer of Izneo for years and must have purchased hundreds of books through their services. They have a great catalog available across a wide variety of genre. Most unfortunately, the quality of their app and website has always been poor on iOS, yet manageable with a bit of patience. However, their latest update finally ended up breaking everything. I use an iPad Pro and am running the latest version of iPadOS. I can no longer read most of the comics I’ve purchased on the app. A black screen with a loading spinner appears when starting a book or after a couple of pages, freezing the application, whether the book has been previously downloaded or not. Best case scenario, you’ll be able to read normally the first 10 pages until an obvious memory management issue causes the entire app to slow down, causing scrolling and changing pages to no longer work. So ultimately you end up purchasing books that you cannot read. And these are only the major bugs, many common simple features like sorting your library are awfully buggy. Attempting to use the website is also useless on iPad, give it a shot and judge for yourself before you purchase anything. I’ve sent a number of emails to the customer support email address and haven’t heard back from them a single time. This app should be banned from the app store until they hire a proper developer and QA team that can fix these issues. Selling goods that cannot be consumed is illegal...

Nice app to read french-language comics but (1) the app lacks an option to archive books purchased, which is a major flaw. We need that option. Right now it is impossible to archive (or delete) a book purchased, meaning books one does not care about keep cluttering one’s library, which is a hassle. Comixology has the option to archive books purchased; (2) more than once I have telecharged a book only for that book to not load correctly when I want to read it; (3) the March 15 update took away the “forthcoming” listings, which is unfortunate; and (4) in the “my series” tab, when I get to the last book listed and keep pulling down on my screen the last book listed repeats multiple times; this should be fixed. Note: The developer is acknowledging feedback. Hence I am adding one star. I look forward to future updates addressing the aforementioned issues.
