Great catalog but WAY too many bugs
Great BD/comics catalog, HOWEVER… For years now the Izneo app has been suffering from many bugs that strongly affect its usability. By app standards such bugs would be considered as release showstoppers, or at the very least, high priority fixes for the next version. Yet the Izneo team has not made the effort to address them. Some examples: 1) Often times you would purchase an album and it would not load when attempting to read it, instead you’d get stuck on a spinner with no ability to even cancel out that state and retry. Your only option is to force quit the app, reopen and hope for the best. Some times it happens after reading a few pages. In other words, you purchase an album about $10 and are unable to consume your purchase… ! This has been going on for years. 2) For some obscure reasons, scrolling all the way down a page bounces you to the previous page ?! That does not make any sense and should not be hard to fix. 3) The library section is awfully bugged. Although it offers options to sort your albums by date of last purchase, it does not work. It seems to only recognize new series. So say that you buy the first album of a new serie ‘A’ then you’re in luck: ‘A’ will be listed first in your library. But then start other series and later on, when the second the second album of ‘A’ becomes available you decide to purchase it, it will get lost in your library: the app will not update the sorting of your last our purchases to show that album at the top. 4) The search algorithm is antiquated. At best, it seems to run a match of all the words you type against the series names with no regards for relevancy. 5) Very poor memory management: the app responsiveness degrades as you turn pages. Touch response & scrolling become slow. You need to exit the album and reopen it to return to a normal state. The list goes on. I’ve experienced these issues for years now (on iPad Pro 2nd and then 3rd generation running the last iPad OS version), and none of the Izneo app updates has ever addressed them. I finally decided to submit some feedback when, again, I purchased an album that would not open (Terres D’Ogon, tome 3). Imagine you would purchase something on Amazon that would not arrive, or a movie on iTunes that would not play. That’s illegal. Please, please, please Izneo team put more efforts in testing your app and fixing your bugs!!
