The James Smith Academy (JSA) is an online personal training platform. Built on the method of famous online personal trainer James Smith, the JSA aims to educate its members in fitness and provide them with all the tools necessary to reach and sustain their fitness goals. Features (depending on your membership type) include hundreds of educational and instructional videos, personalised exercise programs, daily (James Workouts) workouts, a Daily Step Count (which integrates with the Health app to access your daily step, if you choose), hundreds of recipes, a meal planner, trainer support, progress tracking and three month challenges.

The James Smith Academy is free to download. Our free trial, which begins when you create an account with us, does not expire and does not require purchase to activate. If you would like to access content and features which are not available on the free trial, you must upgrade to a paid subscription. You may pay for a subscription using In-App Purchase found on the pricing page of the app.

The James Smith Academy subscription automatically renews monthly (at the price depending on your location) unless it is canceled at least 24h before the current period ends. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24h prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or turn off auto-renew by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.

Blank screen

Filled out everything and repeatedly had to keep closing the app to get to the next part, eventually I was just left with a blank white screen which never changed so I deleted the app.

There’s no other app like this! Educates & user friendly

Keep track of everything in one place ... and such great access to all the videos from the Academy. If you’re working out and need a quick reminder of how to do a specific move or use a piece of equipment - it’s a click away. Upgrades are always on point. ❤️🏋️❤️

Literally the best fitness app and online coaching ever

I have had other online coaches before and hands down the JSA is the best ever. They truly genuinely care about your fitness progress and not here to just take your money and keep you an arms reach from your goals. I had the premium account for 2 months and in that time I got all the information I needed to do everything myself. Lost 4kg. I decided to downgrade to the basic subscription because the app is sooo great and I have access to all the great resources James puts for us, it’s literally a dollar a day for 20 days. I downgraded 2 days before my subscription was to renew and they literally refunded me 3 dollars for the remaining days. How awesome is that! If that doesn’t say we’re not here to just take your money but to make a difference in your life and help your fitness goals, I don’t know what is! I cannot recommend the JSA enough!

Great program

Obsessed with this program! The app itself is great. Lots of content. Easily accessible. My online trainer is amazing and I’m having a lot of fun so far. Might even request another program soon!
