Description

Meet Stronger by the Day by Megsquats: A strength training program app dedicated to making you the strongest lifter you can be – in the gym, your garage, or even a hotel room.

If you’ve been cherry-picking random workouts or have seen a plateau in strength, it’s time to find a dedicated strength program – and coach – that provides you with a focused path to a stronger you. With Meg Gallagher, aka Megsquats, at the helm, we take care of all the planning; all you have to do is show up and put in the work.

The Gym version of Stronger by the Day is all about building muscle and getting stronger. Your training is built around the progression of these five main lifts: squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press, and hip thrust—complemented by rotating accessory lifts from our library of 500+ movements. You’ll be lifting more weight, building muscle, and having fun in training alongside thousands of other lifters who are on the same journey. If you have time constraints, we also offer the Express version of our Gym program. It’s meant for those who still want to build strength and maximize their gains but are limited to 40-60 minutes a session.

The Bodyweight version is every bit as intentional as our gym training; you won’t be doing gimmicky exercise combinations that just leave you out of breath. You’ll still be following a progression-based approach to build strength and make progress. We’ll show you how to utilize your body weight and simple pieces of equipment – like bands – to still make progress, even without the use of barbells or machines.

Building strength is simple when you have an app like Stronger by the Day. It has a multitude of customizations and we’ll guide you every step of the way. Check out some of the features available:

– Adjustable weekly split with 3, 4, and 5 day/week options, helping you stay flexible depending on your schedule
– Suggested weights for each main lift based on previous training sessions, as well as a reference to recent performance for all accessories
– Option to toggle on a warm up and conditioning session to every workout
– Brand new week of programming released every Monday (12 am, based on your device’s time zone)
– In-app video demonstrations and written explanations for every movement in our exercise library of 500+ movements
– Detailed video and written notes for the exact training focus of any given week, as well as the broader context of where we are in a training cycle (known as our macrocycle)
– Extensive Resources section with videos on lifting content to help you improve technique and continue learning plus a full module on nutrition to support your training goals
– An easy-to-access substitutions library so you can swap out movements whenever you need
– In-app training journal to track your progress
– Stats section to visually see the progress of your squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press, and hip thrust
– Option to select weight unit of kilograms (kg) or pounds (lbs)

Phenomenal guided training program

Nikki-M-K on

The flexibility, thoughtful design and attention to detail this training app provides makes it near impossible to make excuses for skipping a workout. UX is fantastic!

Doesn’t work on smaller phones

St..Hood on

Don’t bother if you plan on using this app on a smaller phone. I have an SE and the formatting makes it impossible to log in. The service rep offered no solutions, and I don’t believe they intend on rolling out a fix. That said, I have been accessing the app through my laptop in order to follow the programming. I like the larger progressive overload structure, and that there’s variety in the accessory exercises week-to-week. Of course, I cannot benefit from the substitution options or demonstrations while in the gym, or track my workouts live. It is very inconvenient. Aside from that, my largest criticism would be that I wish there was a more detailed explanation for the accessory exercises—which muscles are worked, possible corrections etc. Would love to see a complimentary mobility program. If you use the regular gym program, expect to spend min 1-2 hours per day. The supersets requiring machines can be awkward to complete in a commercial gym. Probably not suitable for absolute beginners. I do recommend at least sampling the trial week to see how you like it, if you’re in the market and your phone supports the app.

Flexible and achievable

I love the ability to substitute in exercises I have the home equipment for. Always changing a little but not too much.

Great value

8ve on

Have used the maternity and post partum programs, now paying for an annual program, enjoying the pace, programs, details for each exercise. Week thought out and taking a lot of the effort out of the pre- workout, no longer having to create my own programs, take the thinking out of it and just getting the body moving. Was using another app for years and they moved to paid and deleted my entire workout history. Out of annoyance I switched. Very happy with my choice, 3 weeks into regular programming!

Can’t select equipments

Angdi Chu on

Someone online told me this program can let you select home exercises with dumbbells and other simple equipments or gym. It’s not. All the exercises are fixed and I couldn’t find where to select equipments. Going to gym never works for me so I really want to find a good program for home bodybuilding. This is not it.

A personal trainer on your phone

Thatvanislandchick on

I’ve been using this program for a year now and absolutely love it. The program is engaging and challenging and I have major jumps in overall strength in all my lifts and even body weight exercises like push ups. I really like that training is broken into focus blocks that last between 8-15 weeks and then change to a new focus. In the year I’ve been using it we’ve done focus blocks on gaining muscle (looking jacked), increasing our 1 rep max for all the big lifts, bench press, and dead lift. I also like that it tells you what weight to lift (aprox) so it takes the guess work out of your progress. I recommend the app for everyone I know and they love it too.

A truly phenomenal app, with new launches!

Daniellebaxta on

Meg Squats and her team have a truly phenomenal app! They constantly launch updates which makes it fun and fresh. I loved the recent change in the resources page. Plus, it’s becoming more and more flexible with having 3 day workouts. I’ve requested a lot of feature requests as I think of them and their support team seems to listen. I’m super excited for what’s next to come! I would love to see even more diversity of workouts like a wall ball throw in their library or instead of clusters a 10-8-6-6-4 split. Plus specific programs if you wanna opt into just a pull-up or specific program instead of the general live one. I’m excited to see what they launch next and how the app grows over time. They make it fun to see your data on lifts compared each time on bench, hip thrust, deadlift, squat and overhead press.

Love it!

Such an amazing program/app! So glad I gave it a shot a few months ago during their promotion. Ive been lifting for a few years now but have honestly never made this kind of progress before! Highly recommend for those who want to get stronger without an actual coach!

This app changed the game

WithLoveFromCanada on

I have been strength training for many years, and recently began powerlifting exclusively. Without fail, every four to six weeks I would start a new plan, but I wasn’t really making the gains that I wanted to see. I have been following MegSquats for many years (OG YouTube days), so I gave this app and program a shot. Let me tell you, it changed the game! I have a plan, I’m making gains, and I’m getting a lot of support… not only through the app, but also through the online community that she has built.

The best

gjngijgucthvf on

Been going to the gym off and on my entire life (blame my ADHD hatred if routines + need for variety and successes to stay motivated). This app makes it so easy and I don’t get bored of the plans, first time I’ve stuck to a workout schedule for longer than two months (currently on month seven!) Meg is amazing!
