The app is fine but the response time to pull up your reservation details is painfully slow.

Maybe it's the language barrier, but the JAL app was the least intuitive airline app I've ever used. Example 1: You retrieve your reservation on most apps by entering your reservation number and name. JAL also requires you to enter departure date and flight number. To enter your flight number, you have to specify the airline (instead of just defaulting to JAL). But you have to enter it as "JL" (not JAL or JA). And my flight number is listed on various documents as 1, 01, 001, and 0001. Only the last entry works on the app. In all, it took a dozen attempts before I learned the right way to enter the flight number. Example 2: There is an notification on the app about: "Submission of Countermeasures to Prevent Recurrence in Response to an Administrative Warning". I can't even begin to parse this or several other statements on the app.
Out of all the airline apps I use and enjoy the JAL mobile app is hands down the worst. The app is constantly asking you to input the same data again and again and again. Was trying to get a seat selection, never was able to reach that function. Perhaps it’s not in the app ? Don’t even think about becoming a frequent flyer member by trying to fill out the HUGE data information sheet that on an iphone the user must keep expanding and shrinking as data JAL wants is entered. United Airline still has the best app, then Turkish Airlines, then TAP.

Cannot find flight info when reopening app. Very slow to load many screens. Sends boarding notifications at the wrong time, cannot be depended on.
Easy to use and very convinient to navigate
When I looked for your contact number it took me while to find it. Your subsidiary company Zipair has the same problem. Perhaps both of thr websites were built by the same company. There is no logical connects between and webpages. Also at the reviewing page before making payment there is not option for editing. One has to click the backward icon many times to get back to the personal information page if there are changes need to be made. Very very inconvenient.
Our flight was canceled and we are standing in a 2 hours line to know if we were really rebooked. The app does not update and information is missing.
