Asiana Airlines

So janky and filled with errors and glitches.

I like the service of this airline but it is difficult to look up the differences between economy classes. There were 4 economy class options from Tokyo to Seoul and I could only find details on 2.

Tried to request a refund on a planned international flight due to an urgent hospitalization for surgery, the answer I received was per their policy the only way for a refund is if I provide a death certificate. Will not fly with Asiana again.

I was very glad to use the app to book flights until I reached the payment stage. There was an option for international credit cards, but my card kept getting rejected with a message stating there was a problem. I called my card issuer, and they informed me that I had entered the 3-digit security code incorrectly. I repeated the process, but I received the same result. I then called Asiana Airlines, and they advised me to contact my bank to activate EDS (Electronic Data Security). After doing that, I tried booking again with a bank representative monitoring the call, but I encountered the same issue. The representative mentioned that there was no activity on my bank's end and that the error message was from my earliest payment attempt. Finally, I called Asiana again and was informed that I can only book and pay with a Korean credit card. This was a great waste of time.

Good luck trying to change seats, edit seats from multi-trip itinerary, or any other basic flight adjustment through their app. Desperately needs redesign. Just look at any single one of your competitors apps.. they all handle it the same, and they all handle it significantly better than you do. How can you be so many years behind your competition in creating an easy digital user experience for your customers?

App keeps crashing and fails to retrieve data. Fix it. It’s been over 3 weeks. Why can’t you get app to function properly? It’s one thing to crash for a day or two, but 3 weeks?

A truly poor airline app with almost no usefulness

Hard to use, awful interface, obnoxious rules. Difficult to do basic things like selecting a seat or using coupons.

Super frustrating that the app randomly tells me “back button is prohibited “, forcing me to log back in and start the check in process again. This is so slow and unreliable. And why do I have to manually click a button to validate user ID? That should be a back end function, other apps and websites have had this sorted for years, this seems amateurish.
