Very buggy and no support

S.V. Keeper on

Bought this app and found many functions are not working - for example, sound buttons (no sound on any words I want to hear pronunciations), flash cards are hanging on screen, etc. no support on bug reports - feel like sending bug report email to black hole :( Feel cheated …

App is broken

I paid for lifetime and didn’t get anything. The app doesn’t see the purchase and the restore purchases button doesn’t work. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Watch app doesnt work

Double answers

Saw this on another review, 六つand六were offered for the same question for "six", one of them is six (things) but there is no distinction given.

Translations are Off

The app has good potential but a lot of the translations are incorrect. I’ve noticed this with some of the developers other apps as well. I suggest fixing the translations, and then it would be a perfect learning app!

Incorrect Japanese

Redeagle549 on

I went to the most basic level just to review some stuff, and they have several incorrect words. Don’t use this app, they haven’t even bothered to get the basics right.

Decent but still needs some work

Has a lot of good info for the Japanese learner who has some experience, but could use better translations for Kanji. One of the flash card quizzes had asked for the translation to “eight” which would be “八” in Japanese. The problem, though, is that the app also translates “八つ” as “eight”, which isn’t quite accurate. “八つ”, more or less, translates to “eight (things)” since it’s used as a counter of things. The fact that the app doesn’t make that distinction is very misleading. Also, some of the multiple choice answers are the same answer. For example, it asked me to translate “六” and my choices it gave me were both “six” as the answer. There’s no way of telling which one it wants, so you’re left with a 50/50 chance of getting it right, which shouldn’t be the case to begin with. It should have two different answers to better distinguish the two. Developer, if you truly care for your app to be good, please have someone go in and check the kanji, and the answers, to correct the errors noted above. I’d be more than happy to help point out the errors I’ve come across, as well.

Great app, will probably upgrade

Seems like one of of the best apps for learning Kanji (and more). $8 for lifetime is cheaper than any flashcard set. One thing that would make it better is after making a mistake, it would be nice to be able to pause the correct answer to take a moment and learn the correct answer more thoroughly.

Product is great but one of your features is not working.

The flashcards in vocabulary gets cut off when I try to go to the next card. This happens with every flashcard in the vocabulary section. Other than that it seems okay.
