With Journeys of Invention you can study, rotate and even operate some of the most revolutionary scientific inventions of all time. Step inside the Apollo 10 Command Module, examine a flea with Robert Hooke’s 17th-century microscope, explore the Large Hadron Collider, or even encode a secret message with a World War II Enigma Machine and share it with your friends to decipher. The app features original and insightful history specially written by Science Museum curators with a rich collection of historic photographs, rarely seen contemporary artworks, archive film footage and video.
This spectacular collection of museum gems is presented in a spell-binding interactive network of inventions, making it effortless to journey back and forth through time. Learn about the darker side of science on the ‘Dangerous’ journey. Choose ‘Horizons’ for dramatic tales of exploration. For a different take on the history of science and technology, try ‘Atoms and Rays’ or ‘The Secret of Life’.

“Writing as someone who has a visual impairment, I have always found myself removed from museum exhibits which are often behind glass and too small/detailed to appreciate from afar. As ever, RGB has used the glass to bring these items closer. Brilliant work!” User review

Outstanding!
I could get really addicted to this - it's like a tour round the Science Museum without the tired feet. There are pictures of the items which you can look at from any angle, information about the inventions and biographies of the inventors, and links that you can follow to related items. I keep getting carried away - absolutely fascinating.

To expensive!!
Son loves this!
My 7 year old son loves this app. He and I are reading it together instead of a bedtime story. For parents I'd strongly recommend this app if your child is into science facts and gadgets. And I particularly rate the ability to interact with the various machines. It's like touching history. Complaints about the price seem a bit harsh when you consider how much a book with similar production values would cost (thinking Dorling Kindersley type books here). In short, deffo get this if you have a child interested in science/tech.
£6.99 is way too expensive
Way too expensive. £6.99 are you kidding me? The length at which developers are going to get a quick buck. Please don't waste your time.
7 quid!!
Not very smooth...
A portable science museum.
Writing as someone who has a visual impairment, I have always found myself removed from museum exhibits which are often behind glass and too small/detailed to appreciate from afar.
As ever, Touch Press has used the glass to bring these items closer. Brilliant work!
Too expensive!
They don't tell you that it will cost £6.99 until you try to use this app. Far too expensive, be warned!
Good app for children's experience
This app is good for children's experience as my 8 year old son loves it and wants to be a game creator when he is older and it would probably be good for girls too. Good app.
