What a joke. Am a parent whose child is away with the school overseas and that have used this app to share photos etc. but no one can do anything except open an account. Use anything but this app

Really liking Journi for recording our trip. It does almost all the things I want in a travelogue, except for video support - which I hope is coming very soon!
I loved Journi- from what I knew, it was the best free journal app which you could put photos and text in! I got friends and family to get it, and encouraged my auntie to use it! Unfortunately a few months ago, the design changed and phots were not longer organised into frames like two side by side, one large and two small next to it on top of each other, one large and three small on the side. Now it’s rounded edges and squares and long scrolls to get to the next post (feels like it’s trying to be modern but it’s achieved that feel at the expense of the app’s simple charm and frustrations in design and photo arrangement). No more of the max 4 and then it goes to 3+ photos, which I actually preferred. Furthermore, I can’t even find how to delete photos from my posts if I accidentally added a photo! I really wish we could return to the past version with it’s simple design and with that simple design comes it’s charm. That is, an easy, navigable memory book.
This app has made sharing travel and daily experiences with family so much easier and more private. The best thing is that I can create a photo album in no time and just work on it day by day. Off line access was super handy. Love to options to modify the photo album templates.
I will enjoy my Journi
Do not like the new layout - much harder to edit and update I am a big user of journi but this update is disappointing
As I am getting older I now also use the app not only for our travels but also for our daily shenanigans, and not having to complete a photo book at the end of thenyear . Love love love it.
So disappointed with this app. So many things that don’t work and need improvement. Its a big waste of time
This could be a great app. But it has significant problems that need to be urgently fixed; 1. Friends cannot find our Journi page. I am constantly resending links. 2. Doesn’t allow comments to individual photos. Extremely annoying. 3. Does not allow me to answer a follower question DIRECTLY under the question asked. 4. The actual making a comment needs to be made clearer for followers. ie as per FaceBook. 5. After saving an entry in order to repost when the internet service becomes available, the word count kicks in and won’t allow me to add more text. With a bit of poking around, I can eventually do it. But it should not be this difficult! I actually am embarrassed that I have sent these links to my friends, only to have them report the roadblocks of assessing our page. And very, very disappointed that our big Australian Outback Adventure is not being enjoyed by most of our friends. Please fix these issues. Thank you.
Journi is simple to use just with my smartphone. It allows me to quickly add a photo on the go and then come back later and edit the description and story behind the photo. Having the photos on a map is great when going back later so you can re-imagine the trip.
