It is easy to use and has good GPS system. However, the user has little control in its functionalities. It allows you to change some settings but they default to the developer’s setting e.g. chronology of picture viewing is always newest to oldest, limited number of photos in a folder.
I love journal blog because it’s amazing I wanted to write a review about London when I went there for my dad’s birthday PS It’s bout out the best in me
I have started photo books with other apps and either got bored or frustrated. This app is different. Adding photos and text is easy and then once you have all the material, the layout options are easy to use. Want to add more photos to a page, easy! Want to remove a photo or text, easy. Want a photo to be a whole page, easy! The only thing is that because the blog and photo book are separate then if you find a spelling mistake then you need to start the photo book again from your updated blog, but this isn’t the end of the world. I love it. The book I created arrived quickly and the quality was awesome, I am glad I paid extra for glossy pages.
Easy to use app. Great way to make memories x
I was looking for an app that could write a daily diary entry, attach photos and share with family and friends. This app does those things but with limitations; 1. The 1000 character limit is too restrictive, I can’t write what I want to. It can be circumvented by adding another entry but it breaks the aesthetic for me. 2. The 10 photo limit is too restrictive, I want to share more than 10 photos. 3. In order for friends and family to view they have to download the app and sign up. Only dedicated family and friends will do this and some of our relatives struggle with their phones at the best of times. Having the option of just a URL link is much better user design. The developers say it’s for privacy reasons but that isn’t true. You can write a privacy statement that gives permission to share your material, it’s up to the user to agree to the statement when they sign up. Facebook has a privacy option to open all your content so they can too. I would just like to have the option. Basically it’s a good app but too restrictive, let the user decide on entry length, photos and how to share not the developer. I went with Polar Steps instead.
Fantastic way to see a travel diary of someone very special a long way from home xx
I absolutely love this app. I have multiple journi with different friends for different trips, in addition I have my own “diary” journi. I use it as travel journal with friends where we all post pictures of the highlights of the day with text and descriptions. The more often we use it as a group the better we get to avoid double photos of the same scene. I also use it as my personal “photo” diary documenting the highlights of the year. Special bonus those journals can be easily converted into photo books. I love that journey creates a map showing the different places I / we visited on a map in the specific journey. You can easily categorise it with entertainment, food, activity, ... and many more. I would be great if you could create your own categories and the GPS code documents the specific place - no need to enter it manually.
I’ve used Journi quite a few times and loved it, although occasionally frustrated at the strict word count. To overcome this on my latest Journi I’ve done more than one update in a day, but I don’t like how Journi decides the order which isn’t the same as I write them, meaning the content is shown out if sequence. If anyone knows how to overcome this, please let me know!
Can’t control book layout. Very frustrating and use bonus print instead.
