Non-starter

Doesn’t even find my Moode devices on the network. Even most free apps can do this!

Now way to test the product

I downloaded this app but I have no idea if it will work with my HiFi but as soon as you open it you are invited to either subscribe or make a one off purchase. This is madness who would buy this with first testing to see if it is suitable and plays correctly?

Good but can’t find all streamers

I like this app a lot. I can read from my NAS and Qobuz just fine. It can find my Cyrus streamer and sounds great but it can’t find my Naim MuSo over UPnP. I have to go to my TV which has a digital output to the Naim. If this worked as it should it would have been 5 stars.

Very good app

Incredible sound quality -Intuitive App

Having used Roon with my Antipodes server since new spoke to my dealer who mentioned JPlay App saying not only is it similar but sounds amazing. Decided to give it a try and have to say it sounds incredibly organic and transparent. Has taken my very high end system to another level using the amazing Qobuz App which now sounds sublime. Superb value for money and App works flawlessly.

Best sound quality music playback I’ve heard.

Compared with the many other music playback apps I have used (including Roon), in my setup JPlay presents a noticeably more detailed and musical rendition. As others have commented, the interface is Roon-like and very good. It’s also proved to be very stable and responsive despite not needing a core. If you’re streaming from a upnp server to a variety of endpoints or want better better SQ, I’d recommend giving it a trial.

Just perfect

If you decide to stream or play music from your device to you hifi system with UPnP, this app is the perfect way. Very well designed, versatile, better sound quality than with mconnect app. Thank you for making this app!

Didn’t work with Chord

Installed quickly, brought Qobuz in quickly but would not play more than a couple of bars then move on for a couple of tracks before stopping completely. Great interface but apparently compatible with Chord 2go.

Unreliable

While the JPLAY app sounds good, I have problems with missing cover art and playback of an album other than the one selected. I am using JPLAY iOS with JPLAY Femto. App author is aware of problems but five months into my subscription, no working solution has been offered.

Sorry but no updated

MaxW57 on

Ok, tried it again and it’s still useless. Finds my Plex server but just says “error” if I try to do anything. Doesn’t locate my Bluesound streamer at all. It actually costs £43 per year which is not an “in app” purchase though it does offer a 14 day free trial which I used to find out that it could only find my iPad and no other streamer device on the same network. Then, despite pointing it to the NAS folder, it wouldn’t connect and kept going back to “settings”. If I can’t get a simple piece of software to do the simplest thing, it gets dumped. So it has been! Again!!
