Kaala is built on the carbon-negative Celo blockchain. Your balance is stored in Celo dollars (cUSD) stablecoin in order to unlock the full potential and features of digital money management. Near-zero fees on payments and money transfers: Kaala doesn’t charge any fixed fees on transactions, so you can send or receive funds from friends and family without breaking the bank (pun intended), for as little as 0.01 USD. That’s one big advantage of using stablecoins (Celo dollars or cUSD) to store value.
Easy onboarding with just your phone number: Since Kaala is built on the Celo blockchain, all you need to get started is a compatible mobile device and a phone number. When using the app, you never have to deal with long crypto wallet addresses.
