Kanbana: Organize Everything

Very disappointed that the update lost me boards that I’d been using for a new client. This will actually have a financial impact as I logged the time I was working on each project within the app. I fully expected this to be ok. I now have nothing left of my recent work and what’s more the team at Kanbana have stopped replying to my messages. Not good, I’ll be cancelling my subscription.

What was a great simple app has just got so bad !

What have you done with a beautiful tool? - the new version has turned it from a slick fast professional tool to a slow, clunky child’s toy. The old tool displayed loads of info wonderfully clearly and you could move tasks smoothly, now the large child like font is ghastly and all movements are slow are clunky. You have literally ruined what was brilliant. Why?

The snappy, easy to use, efficient and flexible app has gone. What a waste of my one year subscription. I won’t be renewing. Can’t select cards to move between boards. Can’t select a group of cards to change their colour or move to other lists. Cumbersome move for single cards only. Each card takes up too much space on the screen so you have to scroll up and down all the time to view long lists. The card edit screen is clunky, where it used to be clean and simple. A list isn’t a full screen width so there is always a visually intrusive bit of the next list on the screen. When scrolling up and down the app decides where to stop so tasks can’t be seen where you want them. Worse than all this in the change over to the new version I have lost at least three detailed lists, hours of work I won’t get back so now I don’t trust this app at all. Why have you made such a mess of it? :(

Haven’t used for a couple of years, but the new design feels too complex now. I used to love Kanbana for the simplicity, which is now gone. Real shame.

I have been using Kanbana to organise all aspects of my professional and personal life for many years. It’s flexible in that I can have separate boards for different tasks which helps me keep track of everything I have to do and I can move tasks easily within a task board and between task boards which really helps my thinking and planning. The latest update is really good because of the additional colours and layout which makes it even easier to organise and navigate tasks. It syncs between my phone and iPad and I can log in on any device via the website which means I have access to all my tasks records and planning activities even without my own devices. I use it to plan my working week and personal tasks which I can colour code to help me prioritise. I have tried many to do / organising apps and this is the best and easiest and most intuitive to use. I really couldn’t manage without it and would highly recommend it.

This was a great app, but I have been told without notice that a subscription is required for more than a measly 20 cards. I’m now going to have to move all the work I’ve built up to another app. Thank you Kanbana!
