The app doesn’t work if you have multiple kids at different locations.
Not sure why this app is used by any centre as it is really not helpful for parents.
Also, they debit my account to pay for some other kids tuition, apparently an “error” on their back end but gives you an idea of the quality of this app.
Worst app ever made
I despise this app. Our preschool & daycare used to use Hi Mama which was 1000 times better. I don’t know why they switched to Kindertales but it is awful. Half the time messages or notifications don’t come through. I have to shut down and reboot my phone every other day to get the app to function as it freezes frequently and nothing will load until I restart my phone. I have never had positive experiences with this app and every other parent and provider I speak to hates it too! Why do any facilities use this program?! It’s the worst unless you live daily malfunctions. Do not recommend.
Super buggy app
I have to restart the app all the time to get a new feed, it’s like it’s stuck on the last day. Logging attendances frequently gives me errors that just say “Ok”, and sending messages is almost impossible.
It’s like this app has been abandoned, I don’t know how they haven’t fixed anything in so long
Does the job.
I enjoy this app, despite the occasional bug. Our daycare has trialed two other similar apps and this has worked for the best for us.
I dislike that it is not supported by Apple Watch. Extremely convenient if it could so I wouldn’t have to carry my phone for an emergency notification.
Bad app
Have to re login everyday to get new notifications.
Malfunctioning app
This app never works properly. Constantly signed out, messages cannot be sent or received, glitches regularly. Worst daycare app I’ve ever used!
Checkin is terrible
The app works nicely otherwise but I get an API failed warning almost every day I check my son in. I usually could bypass this by closing and reopening the app but lately that’s not even working. I tried to reset the phone, reinstall the app etc and it still doesn’t work. So frustrating!
One child at a time
My two kids are at separate daycare’s which both switched to Kindertales, while the app itself is Ok (alot of it seems incomplete and half baked — maybe worthy of 3 stars) the big issue is since for whatever reason both my children couldn’t be connected to my one email, I can’t view both children in the app without logging in and out. That wouldn’t be so horrible if the app let you remember an email/password and choose but it doesn’t. Oddly regardless of what child I’m currently viewing, notifications regarding both do come in. Room for improvement.
Poor parent user experience
Filling out the morning bulletin with my child’s key inputs , like time of wake-up, time of last meal etc is so extremely frustrating. It’s like the app hates me - that’s how difficult it is to submit the information. As a busy parent , I want an easy, clean interface and not to be struggling with the time stamp function. And even when I finally key in all details, there is a high probability that I receive an error message that the form has not been submitted, but without any guidance around what fields might be missing or incorrect.
I really hope someone from the Product team reads this and fixes these issues ! Please!
No Multiple Children and Messages Disappear
This app is nice for some things; staying connected, getting updates, paying dues.
However, there is no accommodation for having more than one child!! This is an extreme miss, as we have 2 kids on the system.
Also, in the messaging side, if you don’t mark a message “unread” again it disappears.
Nice idea, but more work needed to accommodate real life.
