Kindred Home Swapping

pau.car3 Invite code if anyone needs one. Seems like a great concept. I did the onboarding recently and am excited. Trouble is finding a place to rent for a week or more. I’m sure that will get better with more people joining.

Cheaper and much nicer stays. Have stayed 10 times and every place is actually a place you want to spend time in vs a vacation rental

We’ve been on Kindred since launch and have hosted our home, but have found it extremely difficult to use the platform as a Guest and stay somewhere. None of the inventory is seemingly actually available (“Open to Inquires” typically means the opposite). We get requests frequently for our home but have decided that until we can actually stay somewhere ourselves it’s been mostly the platform “taking” without a lot of value to us. It is probably very useful for those who frequent SF-NYC (I imagine for business trips). There’s a ton of inventory for that particular itinerary. Not a ton of other options if you’re actually looking to travel somewhere fun and different.

I’ve traveled with Kindred twice now and hosted 6 times. Both staying and hosting a Kindred are very smooth experiences. When hosting, the guests have always been respectful and the cleaners are great - my place is always even cleaner than when I left. When traveling, Kindred is definitely the most affordable solution for long (or short) stays. Availability at the right place at the right time can be challenging but it has gotten much easier to find a place as the user base grows

This is a great idea that is poorly executed. The experience as a host is dismal and I do not trust that my place is going to be well taken care of. Feels impossible to find a place to rent without it being more expensive than a hotel or Air bnb.

Wow. I can't believe how amazing this app is. The homes are gorgeous, the people are so nice, and it's affordable. If you aren't already on the waitlist, sign up!

Easy experience and love how simple it was to get a trip booked. Can't wait for new features to come!
