Upgrading the Arsenal not only refreshes the Store with new offerings but also increases the maximum Gold you can ante in Battle.

Unleash Your Dominion in the Castle
The Castle serves as the heart of your kingdom, a testament to your chess mastery and a source of hourly Gold. Elevate your Castle's level by prevailing in PvP matches and by nurturing your other Locations. Reaching level 5 on all Locations unlocks Castle level 2, granting access to higher levels for your other Locations. At this moment, the pinnacle of kingdom prosperity lies in Castle level 5, but stay tuned for more exciting updates as we plan to add additional Castle levels in the future.

Engage in Live Battles
Venture into the realm of Battle, where you can play chess online against fellow players. Choose from nine popular time controls and strategize to claim victory, earning both Gold and glory. Utilize the ante system to add an extra layer of excitement to your matches.
Conquer Campaigns
Navigate through a captivating chess campaign, ridding the realm of villainy by solving increasingly intricate chess puzzles. Each Castle level grants you a campaign of 10 missions, each with 5 chess puzzles. Correctly solving at least three puzzles unlocks the next mission, and completing all five earns you additional rewards.

Significant glitch

The game was good, but a significant glitch where the game freezes and defaults to a draw now occurs frequently making it unplayable.

The characters are the best

Good idea

Unfortunately the castle upgrade is too slow, especially the tower which needs those scroll things to upgrade which you only get once every 5 hours, would take days to even get it to level 5 whereas other areas can be upgraded in a matter of minutes. The loading screens and transitions that happen between nearly every interaction are also way too slow for an app these days. Edit: After eventually getting to level 2 and unlocking a measly few campaign levels my camps idle gold production has stopped working.

Progression is terrible

This feels like a blatant cash grab built to push you toward micro-transactions. The game places ridiculous timers everywhere. It takes 4 hours for a ‘review’ scroll which you use to review games in the exact same way they are analysed in the chess.com regular app. There are also limits on what you can earn through playing bots until another timer runs its multi hour course. They need to remove these frustrating elements to make this enjoyable. I would like to play it regularly and enjoy it but it’s very annoying and poorly designed. Super slow

Good concept but too slow

Good to encourage you to play more chess and get better. But upgrading things is a slow process and a bit of a turnoff to keep playing. Only 55 puzzles can be completed at each castle upgrade, and upgrades take too long to reach. 1000s of puzzles with lives like candy crush or something would feel better.

Micro transactions galore. Pay to play

Only took an hour before I got hit with unlock timers and pay walls. Want to do puzzles? Upgrade your tower to level 5. How long will this take? You’ll have to wait for 5 hours for a scroll in order to analyse your games. Need 5 scrolls for level 3, at least than many for levels 4 as well. Want to do it quicker? Buy the scrolls. Progression locked behind timers and pay walls. You’re better than this chess.com
