The app offers built-in streaming options: stream from worldwide music services; use AM/FM and Internet radio, connect to DLNA servers, or play anything from your device's music library, including your iTunes playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you.
The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, set up speaker groups, or stream to all of them at once. Manage speaker groups for Spotify Connect, too.
Please note that the Klipsch Stream app is the companion app to Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio products or other DTS® Play-Fi® enabled products and is not intended as a standalone application.

Klipsch Stream FAQ
Is Klipsch Stream free?
Yes, Klipsch Stream is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Klipsch Stream legit?
⚠️ The Klipsch Stream app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I own a Klipsch “the three” for a couple of years now. The experience has been not that great due to connection issues, control issues, humming noises, ... but the sound is nice
- since the last update volume control seems to be very buggy. When using Spotify, the button on the speaker does not always work anymore, the volume control in the app does nothing, volume control in Spotify works if you are lucky
- when using internet radio, transferring playback to the device such that you can close the app takes a serieus amount of time
- changing audio source (wifi -> Bluetooth or something else) means you got to change it on the speaker, auto discovery shouldn’t be so hard..
- the speaker is zooming/humming quiet loud when in standby. I know this has nothing to do with the app, but it is driving me crazy. Next time I will buy a Sonos instead.
Almost Perfect
I’ve been using the Klipsch Stream app for several years now, and the updates seem to be hit and miss. For the most part it works well and provides excellent functionality for streaming music to multiple devices. I have tested it with multiple versions on multiple devices for comparison. I have various Stream compatible Klipsch Speakers, multiple Gates, and multiple PowerGates. It does has its pros and cons. This review is as of version 8.21.1, and I have found version 4.84.181121 to be generally most stable, but lacks some of the new features. All Klipsch devices have the latest firmware updates (which is required for the updated app versions).
Pros:
-Streams to multiple devices seamlessly most of the time. I have seven, including using a Stereo Pair.
-Stereo Pair allows you to group two devices together as one with a Left and Right mode for each
-Offers many streaming services, including XM, Amazon, and the most popular streaming services
-Sound quality is great even in standard mode
-Extremely flexible
-Supports multiple zones
-Can control individual device volume
-Can control most functions from multiple devices
-Latest update eliminates lag between songs allowing you to play continuous mixes without interruptions
-Can stream high quality in Critical Listening mode (however it is limited to streaming to only one device in this mode)
-Supports Surround Sound mode, but I haven’t tested it
-Supports setting up Speaker Groups
Cons:
-Will not allow you to select streaming from a Bluetooth connected source
-Streaming from input sources is limited to 5 devices, and is flaky in behavior
-Latest update frequently lists wrong song (but correct song length) when streaming all tracks from music server. However, if you view it from another device with a previous version of the app it displays the correct song
-Cuts out occasionally, but usually picks back up where it leaves off. This behavior seems to vary in frequency between the various versions
-Older versions were more intuitive and easier to use.
-Sometimes connects devices in a distorted mode. I have to disconnect and reconnect the device to correct.
Overall I’ve been happy with the app and features, and because of this I am willing to put up with the quirks in the various versions and rate it at 4 stars overall. Will keep updating review when new versions are released.
Doesn’t like to connect via wi-fi
Always having connectivity issues through wi-fi which causes me to divert to another product most of the time. The sound quality of these speakers are fantastic; software is terrible. Lots of potential to compete with Sonos but the software/app is just not good
PowerGate
This app no longer recognizes my Klipsch PowerGate. Used to work wonderfully. Do not update.
Search function for Amazon Music doesn’t work.
The inability to search Amazon Music makes the app’s utility very limited.
App constantly crashes & drops play
Wish the quality of the APP for Klipsch speakers was at least half as good as the sound. It’s really incomprehensible how horrible this app is. Sometimes is works - most times is wants to constantly crash/drop recognition of speakers/devices and the use of channels/music apps (like Pandora, Amazon, etc). The troubleshooting BOT is a joke. Looking for new speakers with solution— so that I can actually use them. — too bad we currently we own 8 Klipsch speakers of several sizes. ) : tired of hoping they’re going to finally fix it.
It’s not really good
This app needs a lot of work, please fix it
All day good!
Out
Super glitchy
Bought Klipsch The Three. Speaker sounds amazing but this App and it's connectivity with streaming services and the Alexa app are really horrendous. Klipsch needs to fix this app
Still needs work as of Oct 2019
Last update helped when it came to recognizing the device but still needs improvement. Once this is fixed and the app finds my klipsch speaker it will be 5 stars. I use Spotify
