Use the App to remotely:
- Prepare for a trip by checking fuel range and dashboard alerts
- Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions to it
- Check if doors or windows are open
- View journey information
- In the event of a breakdown, request Optimised Land Rover Assistance
- Plan future journeys and sync with your vehicle*
- Connect your favourite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with ‘beep and flash’ functionality.
*Availability and function depending on vehicle capability, software and market.
Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then login using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
- InControl Protect
- InControl Remote
- InControl Remote Premium.

Needs some clarifications
The app is good but the functions needs to be more easier and clear. For example: the engine sign has to be separate from the climate function to start.
REMOVE LEGAL NOTICE
Great overall app but please remove the unnecessary legal notice EVERY time users click on the ‘remote’ tab. You’ve legally covered yourselves notifying and asking us once to accept the notice, just store that acceptance and consent and tell your in house lawyers to chill the f out, it’s totally unnecessary to prompt users EVERY SINGLE TIME. Consent and acceptance is only needed once in this country then you’re off the hook unless you change the notice somehow in which case reprompt and then store until the next time it changes.
Electrical Issues
There is an incredible amount of electrical and connectivity issues with the car and this app. Not enjoyable at all. It doesn’t work half the time. Almost an inconvenience when having to use it when it should be a convenience feature.
Disappointed
This app is a major disappointment. The climate controls for remote start are laughably limited. You cannot manage the heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heated windshield, or direction of airflow. This outdated and underdeveloped app leaves me jealous of other lesser non-luxury brands’ apps. It seems that all that is needed is a software update to the car and an app update. Minimal effort for major improvements, yet this has gone unaddressed for years. What a joke.
No heated seats / wheel heater option
Why is there no option to turn on heated seats / heated steering wheel remotely? Possible to add in update? Thanks
Range Rover remote start
The app does not always start my vehicle on the first try sometime. It takes two or three times before I can remotely start it.
Issues with App
I am not sure if it is Land Rover or the App but I continuously have issues unlocking my door as I approach my car.
I can’t be the only one
I like the app but I don’t love it. I can’t be the only one who would like to pre-set times to start the vehicle. Is this possible?
Works Great
I live that the car tells me if I forget to lick the doors. I also love pre-starting the car on colder days. all done through the remote.
