Love how this app has helped me find more people and friends in my community
I’ve been using Lex for several years now and have used it for finding partners, hookups and general community. There’s genuinely no other resource out here like this for our community that I know of, genuinely writing this cus I want other queer folk to know it exists
I love this app since it’s early days. Just text, no photos and able to put your words and selfies out on IG.
Thank you Developers. I found bugs for you. When I click The message Text feild in a group your in, it does not open or allow me to type
It’s not even worth engaging between the scammers and people not actually wanting to meet up instead, mindlessly scroll on here
Best app to find lesbian friends. Anything queer is here. Love it so much
I've been a Lex user since it's instagram days and even contributed to the kickstarter to build the app. The evolution of Lex has been ultimately disappointing, more so with each update. It's gone from being sex positive app for dykes to increasingly de-sexed. Most posts, even in the gay Bay Area, are seeking mutual aid, advertising housing, or newcomers asking "how does this app work?" It's uninteresting. The app doesn't encourage unique posts. It's also not actually well built. Sometimes notifications show up multiple times, or I'll get notifications for messages that were sent over a year ago. I wish there was a "mute" button for specific users who treat lex like their twitter or tumblr, sending sad poetry into the void, but instead I tend to block them. The constant money grabs by the developers certainly don't help. Overall, Lex used to be a good idea, but I'm bored.
Sign up is annoying and has no sense of privacy: requires cell phone number & photo upload just to open the app, and then the latest post in my area was 60 days old after twenty minutes of signing up. The app interface is very confusing and nearly unusable. Not sure what this app is supposed to do based on the hurdles to sign up and lack of respect for users who might not want to give all sorts of info the first time they use an app. I recommend other LGBT+ community apps, Lex is weird and there was no one using the app even when I checked larger metros in nearby states. I guess even the developers of the app don’t use Lex very often, as the dev response took months and didn’t address any of my concerns.
Please fix this! Also add in a way to report/boot chasers please and thank you
I’ve used Lex to find roommates, doctors, friends and dates. It rules. 💯
