So difficult to set up and use

I really wanted to like the app but frankly it’s a horrible interface to use. And as for pairing the lights, well words fail me. Why is it such a clunky process? And who thought it a good idea to have the help files buried within the app? Good luck looking at the app interface and flipping to the help file. I wanted to delete my account but it takes 15 days before it’s removed from their server. Really??

Terrible, confusing app

I have been using LIFX for 10 years. First bulb I bought I loved it, but this app.. is terrible. I have too many bulbs now to change brands but my gosh the app is confusing, not user friendly, overly convoluted. I work in tech so I know for a fact this app is trash. Once my bulb starts breaking I am moving away from LIFX.

Frustrating

The app works sometimes but it generally doesn’t. I don’t know if it’s because of iPhone but it’s frustrating when I can’t turn my lights on or off. Defeats the purpose and wastes money. I think in the 2.5 years that I had these lights, it only worked consistently on 2 occasions for about 2-3 months. It’s so great when I can use the app but since it doesn’t for the majority of the time (the device doesn’t even come up in the app) it doesn’t do the job.

last 2 updates introducing bugs

I was enjoying my lights until: 1)last 2 updates I lost usability to my widget 2) then last update I lost remote access although mobile data is switched on Please fix!!! 3 stars only as pre launch quality testing should be done prior to release of updates

Can’t login to the app

I can’t login to the app now and can’t adjust or change anything for my lights ? Is there anything wrong with the iOS version of the app ?

Not that great, in fact, it’s rubbish.

Worst Connection Problems

I’ve had the Strip Light for around 3 years. Over the years I gathered a total of 4 around my house, I have now removed all strip lights as I can not get a connection over 99% of the time. The app just says lost power or connection with the lights constantly. I know it’s not a power problem or internet problem as I’m an electrician and have spent a lot of money ensuring the strip lights had a good connection no matter where they were. Wouldn’t waste your money like I have over $500 just sitting in a draw now.

Nothing works

Can’t set it up. The app won’t notice the QR code it’s useless!

Lifx switching still broken

Please fix

Really annoying that it doesn’t have a widget.

Really annoying to use. Fine if I want to set up bulb and add them to rooms and choose the colours. But what do you do most often with a light? Turn it on or off! And you have to wait a second for the app to load so you can turn the lights on or off. This app sorely needs a widget, so my light switch is immediately available! Also, as a follow up, the bulbs continually lose connection to the network and require the power to be cycled. May as well just be normal bulbs, for all the trouble they have caused me.
