Description

Slowly increasing light and sound in the mornings will help you to get out of deep sleep. You know, scientist have found that this is good for health!
Put your phone near your bed so you're not covering the flashlight. You can even use a tripod, since the light goes from both sides of your iPhone.
We already put in the best possible bird singing sounds, but if you wish, they can be turned off.
Important:
App needs to be active in the foreground for light alarm to work!

Beautifully simple, yet amazing app

I use a sunrise alarm at home but work away every other week and need to travel light. Most sunrise alarm units are very bulky and I had given up on bringing them with me. I searched for an app to do the same and found this one, boy and I glad I did! The interface is so simple yet aesthetically perfect. The lighting prior to the alarm is great considering its just a phone screen and the phones flash light. I have found either laying the phone with the camera module hanging over the edge of my nightstand, or propped up with a book and angled slightly away from me works best. Finally the really subtle bird chirping that slowly increases in volume is soooo much better than my old iphone alarm tone. Higly recommend this app!

Good but too quick

Transition is too quick might as well be an alarm

Effectively Simple

Great simple app, only thing it is missing is the ability to change how long the transition takes turn on as it is too quick. Otherwise excellent

Lots of unrealised potential

This is a beautiful and simple app that misses out on a lot of potential. If you could only make the sunrise happen more slowly - over 10 minutes like a real sunrise - and have options to use the screen only (i.e. not using the flashlight which is bright white light and doesn’t resemble the sun at all) and have an option to turn the bird sound off (nice touch but I live in a forest surrounded by bird noises) the app would be perfect. But most of all it happens too quickly; within one minute the screen is completely white, instead of turning reds, oranges, pinks and yellows over 10 or so minutes - just like a real sunrise.
