I’ve used this app to schedule portrait sessions at outdoor locations since it came out. Even for locations I know well, hitting a peak light time is tricky. This app makes the process easier.

LightTrac is a must have tool for all outdoor photographers. Quickly determine at what time and location the light conditions are perfect to shoot your subjects outdoors. The elevation and angle of Sun changes throughout the year depending on the location, date as well as the time of day. LightTrac calculates both the elevation and angle of Sun and Moon for any date & time, for any place on earth and plots it on top of a satellite map. Armed with this information and with an extremely easy to use interface, you can now plan your photo shoot even several months ahead of time and position yourself at the right spot at the right time for that perfect shot.

Cannot give a honest review
Every time time I open the app it shows my location as Stonehenge. I’m in the US. When I try to change it to my location, the app locks up and I have to reboot my phone. Need a refund.
Good app
I have only used it a couple of times, but have found it to be of great help.
Best app ever!
One of my top most indispensable apps. Extremely user-friendly with a simple clean interface that gives you tons of information. Must have for photography. Great for previewing lighting on any day and time. Also great for earth science and showing how the seasons change the lighting.
End of life?
This is a great little app and I have been using it for a couple of years. Unfortunately, the Help feature no longer works, it goes to a website that doesn’t exist anymore. It looks like the last update was at least a year ago, so I’m guessing this is nearing the end of life. I will have to start looking for something else. :(

Perfect app for photography
This app is perfect for photographers in knowing exactly what time of day is best for photographing outdoor subjects. Also great for drone videoing also!

Zoom is very frustrating
This app was fine at the beginning Now when I zoom out on the frame, at some point, the freaking app decides for me that it’s now time to zoom in!!!!!! Makes the appp extremely inefficient in use of my time
