I’m a deaf person. I learn a lot about American Sign Language because there’s different my language is South Africa Sign Language but both I learn and enjoy American Sign Language. I will learn more about BSL soon
The app is amazing but they is a trail which is not the best but overall it’s a great app
This app is so easy to use and understand. I am thankful that I came across this app. And that I am learning the proper way to “speak” this lovely language.
This app was advertised on my Instagram and I thought how cool is this so I downloaded it and started it today and I am loving it. I can’t wait to be able to communicate with the deaf community !
I did the first lesson and a half but then it offered me a free trial. I declined it but then realized that you can’t do anything else without it other than redo what you already did. But you can look in the dictionary to see the sign for words you already did. So it’s a great app to use to learn sign language if you are willing to pay.
Helps so much now I can simply just sign with my friend that is hard of hearing
Maybe this is more of a gripe about how the App Store operates than about this specific app, but it should be stated up front that this app requires a subscription. I hate finding this out after downloading so it completely wastes my time.
I really liked this app but you have to pay to continue after a few lessons
Everyone will have their own opinion on this, but I would like to share mine. I used to be fluent in ASL, but lost much of it over the years. Having several family members that are deaf, as well as a nonverbal child, I decided to re-teach myself. I did a lot of research on my part, and while there are many great apps to help you learn, I have found that this one is the best in many areas. I do have one suggestion for the app itself. As we go through lessons, and click on correct responses, I believe the buttons and taps should be interactive. When we answer and check our responses, if they are correct, in addition with response, turning green, the phone should vibrate once. If it’s negative, vibrates twice. I think that could greatly assist other users and would be a great addition, just like slow-down turtle option.
