I spent 370$ on this game in order to reach mastery and it took me 8 months. I like the style of the game but when I first started the pacing with no money spent would make anyone go nuts. You get jack diddle yang for rewards and it makes you save 3 days of coins for enough upgrade points to make your combo do 3 more damage. The second you spend money is the second the whole story mode gets packed. Don’t let your special little guy play this unless you want YouTube to teach him how credit cards work.
Pay to win
The game is pretty good at the beginning but after getting past chapter 5 in the campaign it is pretty much pay to win. The arena is not much better put 20 into the game so far and still haven’t gotten past bronze three rank. I would say it would be tolerable if it wasn’t for how very few coins you get for each battle 34 coins, a battle and to be able to buy the basic booster pack from the store you need 800 coins that’s literally 23 matches just for the basic booster pack to upgrade your cards
Fun game needs a few changes
The game is super fun, but the PvP mode is absolutely horrible… you win about 4 games then go against people who only have cards that do 10+ damage. What would be great is for the Campaign mode to either not have energy you need to use to play or have a higher energy capacity. The missions are too quick and take too much energy to be able to play the game without having to do the infuriating PvP mode.
Pay 2 win is ridiculous
Events should guarantee a fused gold combo card for 140 battles. I stop playing this game for months at a time and save my gems for a pack that rolls around once a year cuz nothing is worth it in this game anymore. Arena Currency needs to buy you combo cards or it’s worthless and not fun; there’s no point in playing it except for the coins for a single win. There’s no type of guild system or way to play with people. There should always be a constant flow of events including co-op events. There should be no pause in events. There should be more single PVE that’s actually a challenge and more rewards.
All in all, you’ll hit a wall and the game feels dumb once you hit it.
My opinion
All in all it’s an amazing game that anyone can get used to and play rather easily my only complaint is that it takes way to long to research combos and is to difficult to get cards without spending cash because of this most of the people in the arena or pay to win.
Other reviewers are kinda stupid and impatient
“Oh no I can’t get past 8 stars in arena” “This game is pay to win” “The creators are dirt worms”
Whatever, I’ve played for around 2 1/2 months now, and it does take time honestly.
But I’ve got two onyx cards and a pretty dang good deck so far, I’ve got 120 stars in arena and I just was patient and played it for the gems and goblins.
It’s about patience, and if you’re patient enough you can actually max it out without money (Of course it’ll take like 2 years of consistent goblin killing/arena, but it’s possible)
It really isn’t hard at all, but it isn’t instant gratification or anything, it’s a card game, like it says on the description
4/5
It’s not a bad it’s really fun and interesting, however there are some things that can be improved such as the time it takes to research combos and the progression of the game
Awful stamina system limits play
This would be a 5 star game but it get only 1 because it uses that stupid energy system where you can’t play when you run out.
No way I’m spending money on a game that tells me how much I’m allowed to play it.
Millions of players have voiced their absolute hatred of this system over the years
Issue with deck building
When I was making my 2nd deck I realized my first deck had overwritten my first deck. Had 40 on my first and 35 on the other since I was just readjusting some cards. Accidentally I clicked out of the deck building and when I went back i notice they all said 35. Now every time I changed a card on my first deck I realized it changes my second deck, vise versa.
Changed from 5 to 1 star because…
Really love the game and been waiting for almost 2 years for more game play but it’s the same today as it was then. Definitely some great updates but what good are they if you can’t add more content. Deleting the game once and for all. I had faith in you to make some changes but you didn’t. Sad that people spend money on this and you continue to not make the changes you need to. Goodbye
