I tried a number of GPS trackers and finally found one that works! Sure the dialog/prompt buttons are in Portuguese or something but I get to post my travels to facebook reliably! Have recommended this app to fellow cyclists and boaters.

LocaToWeb is a GPS tracker that shares your position to web in real time. Friends and family can follow you live on a map at locatoweb.com when a track is running. The app gives you duration, distance, speed and altitude as well as your exact position and track lines on a map while tracking.
The web site stores your tracks in an archive under your account that enables you to log in and view and edit your tracks. Using the app, you can be as anonymous as you like since you track under an Alias, and you can even set the tracks to be private (not listed or searchable on locatoweb.com).
The app only records your position when a track has been set up and started and lasts until you stop it. It is frequently used to track bicycle rides, road trips, hiking trips and other outdoor adventures where you want to show your friends and family where you are, or to simply track your adventures for your own pleasure.
There is also a safety aspect of using LocaToWeb. If you have the track running and something happens, your wife, husband and friends can see the exact location of where you are. Maybe you are riding your bike and falls off hitting your head, or you just want to be safe when walking home alone at night.

Great for peace of mind
This app is super useful to track myself while on long motorcycle trips. I share the link with family/friends and they love it to keep tabs on me. Make sure I haven't gone down or anything. Kind of cool to upload photos to so I can show people some cool stuff I see before I even get back.
Works great
I start a new track and go out for a run or bike ride. My family can track me the whole time. Great app.
Good
I was looking forward to giving this app a try but ran into problems getting it to work (received null message). I still gave it 4 stars because the developer is awesome and very responsive and is going to continue to investigate the cause of the error. I look forward to the update with the fix!
