The Lost Books of the Bible and The Forgotten Books of Eden
The Lost Books of the Bible by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr., 1926
This is a collection of New Testament Apocrypha, including many works which were admired and read by the early Christians, but which were later excluded from the canonical Bible. It includes accounts of the young Jesus, particularly the Gospel of Mary and the Protevangelion, which provides additional folklore about the birth and youthful adventures of Jesus and which are missing now. Of note are the letters of Paul and Seneca, and the letters of Herod and Pilate, which are most likely a forgery, but add more depth to the question of the historicity of Jesus. There are also a number of non-canonical epistles, such as Laodiceans. Also worth a close read are the three books of the Shepherd of Hermas, which uses apocalyptic and symbolic imagery. This collection is an invaluable selection of portions of the New Testament which illustrates the fluid nature of the early Biblical canon, and provides access to all of the 'spare parts.'
The Forgotten Books of Eden by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr., 1926
This is a popularized translation of the OT pseudepigrapha, quasi-Biblical writings which never achieved canonical status (or inclusion in any of the official Apocrypha). This isn't to say that these documents are forgeries, just that for one reason or another they were not considered part of the Biblical text by the first millenium (C.E.) compilers. This book contains translations of all of the texts found in volume I of the weighty Oxford University Press Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, without any of the apparatus.
You can find here for free such popular books as: The Apostles' Creed, The Shepherd of Hermas, The First Book of Adam and Eve, The Gospel of Nicodemus and many others books which are missing of the Bible!

Lost Bible Books and Apocrypha Reviews
Great and also disappointing
I was so excited to discover this app. I am visually impaired so when I read that it is also in audiio mode I was excited. However after downloading it to my iPhone, I couldn’t see the audio button although there are audio settings under the settings tab. Please can you add back the audio.
Good Book
I would like to appreciate all those who compiled this document. It is full of knowledge that we are hungry for about our Creator. Most of questions are simple answered via this book. It explains in detail from the creation of all created. We thank you writers.
Misleading
This app is very misleading, as it says “ Lost Books of The BIBLE”, but then doesn’t even have the entirety of it transferred, only an introduction is what I see, into each book. Which is great but definitely not inclusive enough to gain any real knowledge from.
Great Read!
Great read! You get a deeper understanding of Jesus and those from the biblical times.
Bible translation
I love the app and all it contains.
I would really love the option of changing versions (to ESV or NIV or others).
16th century translations are just a bit difficult to wrap one’s mind around.
No Audio!
The audio button is covered by ads and if you can manage to remove the ads, it is still unresponsive.
No Audio Reading
I love this app. I would of given this app 5 stars but they don’t have the option to listen to the reading. But overall this is a pretty good app.
Knowledge
This goes to show that God had told the humans that the earth is round and all the knowledge about the stars and sun and moon, but the people want to leave God out of all the universe and take praise upon themselves like they discovered all this
Amazing Read!
This app is so enriching and insightful! I’ve experienced so many emotions reading these books. I’ve cried, gained understanding , took so many notes, and I can’t stop sharing these stories with my kids and followers on social media!
My only issue is the ads, they get in the way of the content making it hard to read- i use my iPad. And are these not the full books, or are they just small excerpts? Either way I enjoyed the information given 😁
just a preview
why is the apocrypha missing the majority? there is no paid option that has the full books. its in the public domain so the developer is intentionally gate keeping. waste of everyones time.
