I have been reading Magnificat since 2008. I love everything about it. This app is excellent. I love praying the mass and morning prayers. I love all the extra meditations included. Many times I have looked into the works of some of the contributors to find even more content to meditate on and draw closer to God.
The new format looks great and is working very well on my iPhone so far. For future versions: when there are special articles or meditations associated with particular Sundays and other feasts, a link to them within that day's prayers would be much appreciated.
This has made my morning prayer amazing! I love the structure to it and all of the different prayers it has. The meditation section and the saint of the day is also really neat and interesting!
I love the ability to take the readings, the reflections and Saint of the day with me wherever I go. The app works well for all the designed elements. I also like the reminders it gives me. It helps us pray daily and stay connected with God's word whenever we want. Once you have downloaded the issue for the month, it goes with you all the time, even without a Internet connection. The app is easy to use. Thanks for the great prayer companion!
This app (as well as the book itself) is awesome - it has the minimum daily requirement of spiritual food: daily readings, morning and evening prayer, and the best daily reflections I've seen in a devotional. All that, and art, too! I highly recommend it - it has the potential to form a consistent, and often profound, foundation to your spiritual life. (Just wish they had an iPad version!)
Magnificat isn't commonly used here in Canada. How I wish it was! I enjoy the spiritual reflections and saintly profiles, as well as the cover art every month. I don't really use the morning/evening/night prayer (there's another app that gives you the whole Divine Office). Still, a great resource.
