mail.co.uk Mail Reviews

Absolute Junk!!!

I signed up for an account some time ago now as I wanted a simple, unique uk email address. But, I wasn’t sure about this mail provider. It all looked a little amateur. But I wanted the mail.co.uk tag. After signing up it wasn’t long until I discovered I couldn’t add the email account to my native app on my iPhone, without paying for a subscription. So I bought that and it pretty much hasn’t really worked. Still wasn’t able to add it and as a result just never used the account again. Today I discover ‘Your account is in arrears. Please add credit so that you are able to log in again’. £12 arrears. As far as I knew, it was a yearly subscription that I could opt out of whenever I wanted, which I did do, immediately afterwards. I don’t like Auto Renewal, so I cancelled it immediately after paying. I only wanted to try the app out and thought I’ll give it a year, see how it goes. It strikes me as a fake email provider just scamming people out of money. They better not think that as each year goes by I’m just going to continue to be expected to pay £12 and the arrears mounts. To the Company owner: I do not permit you to continue to charge me for this account. Please close it with immediate effect!

This is by far the worst email I’ve ever had. They just temporarily closed my account because I hadn’t paid apparently, with no way for me to pay or open up my account. The interface is sub par, you have to pay, all the support is in German and they close your account down and lock you out whenever they feel like it. There is not a single up side to using this email service.

Snappy app and secure service

Auntyflo on

Great and fully functioned app. Free or paid option. Secure, reputable company with third party security audit. Anonymous sign-up. App has lots of functionality including calendar, contacts and cloud storage as well as sms and a postcard function! A much better option than some of the other well known ‘free’ providers. Use this instead.

Awful

Created an email account and then my password stopped working. So now I’m locked out of my new account.

Now useless

Worked so well for 2 1/2 years and now useless. Can’t log in as doesn’t recognise password but can on a laptop!? Used to freeze as soon as you started typing a letter - like it was trying to catch up with you typing. Such a shame as this is my business email !!!

Cannot be fixed or access customer service.

Was brilliant until a month ago. Since then I’ve deleted and reinstalled about five times, turned the phone on and off, and opened the app normally and via AppStore, but it still freezes when I enter the first letter of an address or the first letter of an email. It’s now unusable.

Spam?!

I created an email account, try to log into it one day and it says email doesn’t exist. When I try to recreate it, it says my email account is already used by another account. This is so frustrating as I cannot get into my emails. wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy!

No support

T24373 on

United Kingdom

I forgot my password and asked for a reset via website with photo ID as required and haven’t had a call or message from then and it’s nearly a month ago. I’ve tried again and again and still no joy. I would go with a UK based platform as now I’m going to have to try calling Germany 🤬
