What a shame - very poor

Johnny Carbon on

United Kingdom

The newspaper is very good but the App is extremely poor. The original App was great but this later App is a very sad reflection of it. Adverts - I have no problem with adverts but this iteration of the App allows adverts to jump around making it very difficult to read as the wording of the article you are reading quickly disappears to a new location and you end up clicking on an advert. Refreshing - the App doesn’t refresh very well, you have to quit it and launch it again to see if there are any new stories. If all Apps were made like this none would ever be downloaded. I’m very close to deleting it, if it wasn’t for my interest in the latest Utd news it would have been deleted a very long time ago. This App needs redesigning as the current design is appalling. Please bring out a new App and abandon this design.

Pure Money Grab

--Batman-- on

United Kingdom

I would give it zero stars if it was possible. Limiting features unless you subscribe to Premium that are free on the website is just a money grab

Failing

AndyUK on

United Kingdom

Theres no search facility so you're limited to what they decide to include on the app

No longe loads

TomAveyard on

United Kingdom

Frustratingly in the last 2 weeks, the MEN and Liverpool Echo apps are no longer functioning for me. For example, I get a news notification- tapping it takes me to an ‘uh oh’ page. Same with the Echo. Opening the app I just get, ‘we are unable to load your news feed’ - no articles available at all. In the Echo, I can see the general news, but no personalised content.

Shockingly bad!

Puzzles stopped working

cda79 on

United Kingdom

The puzzles section has stopped working following the latest update. I click into that section and it shows a message “Just a moment” and does nothing else though sometimes the app closes by itself. Please sort it out.

Disappointing

Excrusher on

United Kingdom

The app is now really disappointing as nearly all the stories are accessed by paying for premium and what is on there seems to be aimed at OK magazine readers. This used to be a good source of local information and news. Not anymore

Another advert platform.

whoerr on

United Kingdom

Almost pointless to use the ap now with the restrictions now requiring subscription. The ad revenue from having it as a free source of news not enough? If anyone reads this and you enjoy consuming news - the websites awful but way better.

Being forced to pay !!

Bluebakers on

United Kingdom

Over the past few months most articles are all having the forced to pay banner on them - shame just means leaving and getting all the content elsewhere

MEN Premium puzzles on IPad

10SMM20 on

United Kingdom

Latest update still does not correct the MEN premium puzzles not loading on IPad. Still no response from developers to earlier comments
