Too many adverts
Way to many adverts. If you’re not on wi fi don’t bother. Also to many ‘ I went to a …. And was shocked by what I found’. Nothing shocking at all. I’m a manc but this app has become the most annoying thing about Manchester

Loss of functionality
Puzzles stopped working in the latest update. They stay loading and never show up
Questionable agenda
I think it’s shocking that the MEN turns the comments off depending on the ethnicity of the criminals. I find if the criminals come from a minority background we the public are not allowed to comment. Disgraceful really.
Back button disappeared
Updated the app. Going through articles as usual. But then the’ back button’ while on a story, disappeared. Only way back to all the stories, was to quit the app.
Racist
This paper is objectively racist. When you point out their racism in the comments section of their articles they block your account from commenting.
Update
I have been trying for weeks to update the app , it just keeps pretending to update but never does , doesn’t matter if I am fully charged, plugged in or on WiFi or not - it will not update! Any suggestions?
What a shame - very poor
The newspaper is very good but the App is extremely poor. The original App was great but this later App is a very sad reflection of it. Adverts - I have no problem with adverts but this iteration of the App allows adverts to jump around making it very difficult to read as the wording of the article you are reading quickly disappears to a new location and you end up clicking on an advert. Refreshing - the App doesn’t refresh very well, you have to quit it and launch it again to see if there are any new stories. If all Apps were made like this none would ever be downloaded. I’m very close to deleting it, if it wasn’t for my interest in the latest Utd news it would have been deleted a very long time ago. This App needs redesigning as the current design is appalling. Please bring out a new App and abandon this design.
Pure Money Grab
I would give it zero stars if it was possible. Limiting features unless you subscribe to Premium that are free on the website is just a money grab
No longe loads
Frustratingly in the last 2 weeks, the MEN and Liverpool Echo apps are no longer functioning for me. For example, I get a news notification- tapping it takes me to an ‘uh oh’ page. Same with the Echo. Opening the app I just get, ‘we are unable to load your news feed’ - no articles available at all. In the Echo, I can see the general news, but no personalised content.
