Sorry, but I find the whole app confusing. Many of the places are random photos placed at wrong spots around the map. Also not happy the newsletter is compulsory. The app Store privacy statement is also wrong and misleading stating no data is collected, which is absolutely not true. An account is required and app asks for lots of data. I want to delete my account, but there is no apparent way of doing that.
Developer requested I update this review. I’ve downloaded the app again and checked it thoroughly. It’s not been improved in any of the areas I noted in my original review. The review stands. Sorry, I downloaded this app on a recommendation but it doesn’t appear to be of any use to me, so I’ll be deleting the app from my iPad. It’s very difficult to figure out how to actually do anything useful, such as finding information about places that we might like to stop, or even how to find recommended stop-overs. There doesn’t appear to be any kind of navigation aid either. All I have managed to find is somebody’s pictures of tourist destinations and eating establishments, hardly the basis for making the app central to our travelling needs kind regards, K33F
Unfortunately, despite the awesome capacity of the app and idea, it’s a shocker to use; an absolute pig. Limited options, it’s far from intuitive and if only a little more time was spent on practicality instead of oversimplification this would have been a 5*
Super useful for planning our trip
It would be ideal if you could specify who you are travelling with. We travel as a family and some places aren’t suitable for young children. Would also be great if you could specify the distances you are willing to travel and how you will be travelling as travel time isn’t particularly accounted for
The Mapify app truly stands above the rest of travel apps out there. Since day one they have continually innovated and added new features to their product and today stands as a great travel discovery and planning tool. I can’t wait to see what great new features will be released in the future 🤙🏼
This app is amazing to create a map of places that have been visited as well as planning future trips. I love the fact there are pictures you can link to the places and advice you can receive from the people that have actually visited those places. My only issue is that the app is a bit slow and it takes some time to update the changes you have made. But if that gets sorted this would be an amazing tool for trips.
