I’ve looked everywhere for a combo of a home management, shared calendar app, habit tracking and task management app that’s easy to learn and not overwhelming to use. I finally found it with Maple. The only thing it’s missing is the ability to use it with my PC. I need an option that I can use and access from anywhere. It’s such a bummer to finally find the perfect organizer to help me manage life as a SAHM but unfortunately I can’t seem to make it work without the ability to use it on my laptop. If and when that happens, I’ll be back!
Layout Revamp
I loved the old layout on Maple where all of my folders and tools were one size. It looked clean, consistent, and organized! Now, when I look at my folders, the staggering makes my tools look a little bit more hectic and less organized as a whole. I love this app and I don’t want to have to find a new family planner. I wish the developers could give us the option to revert back to the consistent styling they had before!
You also used to be able to choose if you wanted a recents tab at the top of your home page, but now it’s just there. Again, I liked the clean style from before, where I could access what I wanted when I wanted, and I could choose what appeared in my folders screen.
I would love if the developers would make these new styles an option rather than a forced transition. That would make me sooo happy and I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed looking at all the recent tools and staggered messy tools in my folders.
Great App… until it became subscription based
Updated review: disappointed Maple became YET ANOTHER subscription service. I’m sick of literally everything being a subscription. We banned them in our house except for the very necessary because it’s just out of hand.
Impossible to live without
I have been a maple user for 2 years. It improves constantly. Our entire life is wrapped inside of it. I couldn’t imagine our family being as together without it.
Update = design fail
I kept coming back to this app because the functionality is superb and the design WAS just perfection - clean, modern but with enough customization options to make it fun. The last update destroyed that refreshing feeling I got when I opened this app. It now just looks tacky and like you took a step backwards.
My favorites are no longer on the super convenient scroll on the top of the folder page (which used to act like an absolutely perfect “home” page) and the addition of the folder colors now being included on all the tools took away that clean look I LOVED. The only thing that looks and feels better is the calendar view.
I’m honestly just so annoyed because I was already disappointed that there are no widgets for this app (which are essential for me) but I loved the features and look/feel of this app that I decided to try to keep using it anyway.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this mad about a design change in an app but I guess that’s what happens when something was absolutely perfect the way it was.
Love it!
Amazing app, I use it for my meal planning daily and am currently organizing my family’s Christmas lists! 5 stars, for sure!
5 Stars!
Even as a college student, this app is amazing for organizing my homework assignments and work schedule!
Don’t bother. It’s a dishonest app
Don’t get attached to this app. It’s a waste of your time. Instead of taking feedback to improve their features and optimize the user experience, every time I login, more and more features are getting paywalled. This recent Black Friday was the most drastic where they forced free members to delete (archive) all but three folders. And I already have a banner notification about more features being phased out to $80 only. It’s greedy. It’s inaccessible. It’s dishonest. Don’t waste your time like I did mine.
Buggy - has a way to go
Bad impression in first ten minutes of use:
-Interface doesn’t look good on laptop.
-Email verification code page not responsive without reset
-Recipe suggestions took too long to load and then when I wanted to amend my preferences, page froze.
“‘Maple organizer”’
I diwnloaded the app it did not work. I put in my email address several times. It states it gonna send you a code. The code never comes to the email. So I deleted the app
