STORE ROUTES & USE OFFLINE

With Maps 3D you’ll have the option to plan, record and share your routes, turning your iPhone into a fully-fledged GPS device so you can log key coordinates and elevations. You’ll also have offline access to worldwide 3D map data which limits the drain on the battery and means that you can pre-load a map to store when you don’t have a signal.

SEARCHABLE MAPS

As an added bonus Maps 3D offers 3D terrain and trip planning, so you’ll never need to worry about getting lost. Towns, streets, mountain peaks and lakes are all searchable, with an accurate and precise map display based on NASA scans of the Earth’s surface combined with the outdoor map OSM (Open Street Map) and the Official USGS topo maps.

Great 3D Tracking and visualization

Love how this app visualises the topography and tracks as well as recording your hikes. Please fix the error when you want to review the saved track. It lands itself somewhere in the Atlantic by default. Otherwise great.

My Go to app

This is my main mapping app. I plan every walk in here. I tried others but find the route planning tool to be much easier to use in this one. I recommend to all.

Originally dl'd this app as I was looking for a program with breadcrumb/path trail. Works great in Perth, West Australia and is easy to use. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent example of cripple ware

Not sure how this got approved as without in-app purchases it provides no useful function at all. You are better off using the inbuilt Maps app than this.

Slow as a snail

I am in the process of choosing an application for my bike - for on and off road use. I opened this program from home, connected via a fast wireless network. My God this is one cumbersome and slow program. Maps take forever to load and after 10 mins of trying to figure out how to make it show me where I am I gave up. Not sure how pointless the program is cause I just couldn't be bothered to continue wasting my time with it.
