Absolutely not worth the money!

Way to pricey, sync's slowly, can't show YouTube videos in full screen etc. In short: Don't pay for this app!

Subscription Rates keep changing

royzie41 on

I’d like to subscribe at $4.99/month and selected that option but matter remained inaccessible.

The most elegant reader app I've ever used.

Really elegant!

Description does not match - Not free

Wranglers on

United States

Disappointed that they say you can either have a free subscription or a premium subscription. It is supposed free for 7 days before you are charged a monthly service. Sorry. Not for me. Either have a free subscription or be open and honest upfront that it is free for 7 days but then you will be charged. I could have not wasted my time.

A nice change

redlegger11 on

This app helps me with a few things. Being able to get all of my favorite authors in one spot, read and grow, and hit upon screen time needs that are slowly dwindling. While other apps completely block you from apps, it’s nice to be able to gain knowledge while pulling back from time draining social media platforms. Thank you for this.

Doesn’t work? Tons of missing newsletters

Jason ARAF on

United States

I connected my Gmail, followed the newsletters I wanted from it, and yet there are many missing articles for many of those newsletters. I see them in my Gmail but they’re nonexistent in Matter. Whatever approach they’re using isn’t working.

Amazing

FaroukKadous on

I’ve been using this app for around two weeks and it’s a game changer if you really want to learn and increase your knowledge. I wish I came across this earlier. I particularly love the transcription feature and the ability to note take and highlight while watching.

Sneaky and too expensive

ladyzahl on

United States

The app makes you go through the whole setup process before informing you of the astronomical price of $15 a month. Or $7 if you want to pay for the year upfront of $80. I don’t even pay that much for video streaming services. Oh sure, they give you a free trial but that is just another form of predatory practices. They give you a free trial but you have to remember to cancel it. They hope you will forget to cancel it. At any rate, for that amount of money, I will search my own stuff to read. I don’t need narration.

Bug with payment

Noa.9 on

United States

I was charged immediately for one full month when signing up - when the app was saying there was a free one week trial. Had to reach back to them to get refunded. Apparently it can happen if you subscribe from the App Store from your phone. Was bothersome
