MealPlan is an easy, efficient way to plan meals and groceries.
"I am thoroughly enjoying your MealPlan app!" "Super app!" "Finally - a simple, easy-to-use menu planning app that looks good as well."
Now with Apple Watch (watchOS 4) support!
MealPlan is a weekly meal and grocery planning app that's focused on getting the job done efficiently. You use a simple interface to plan out meals like “Hamburgers on Thursday, Fish and Rice on Friday”. Recent meals are easily available or you can type in new items the first time you use them.
MealPlan is a universal app, and will sync between your iPhone and iPad using either iCloud or Dropbox. Plan your meals on the iPad's big screen, and automatically have your grocery list with you on your phone. And access your grocery list from your Apple Watch.
MealPlan creates your grocery list as you're planning meals. When you're done, tap the Grocery Basket to see the list, add new items, mark off items you already have, and then print it, email it, or sync it with your iPhone. This is a huge time saver!
And, on the iPad, once you’ve used the app for a few weeks, the Magic Wand will help you quickly fill out subsequent weeks, with a quick suggestions interface.
Features include:
- Simple interface to plan out meals.
- Keep track of recipes and the groceries they use.
- Automatically generated grocery list based on your meal plan.
- Save grocery lists for later use (think "Party" or "Camping").
- Save a week's planned meals as a template to reuse.
- Combined search/add box makes it easy to add new items.
- Print out a week's plan to any AirPrint printer.
- Configure your own meals: Add snacks, or remove breakfast if you don't want to plan it.
- Email a plain text summary of the week's plan.
- Add a note to any meal item, including clickable links.
- Dropbox sync for families with multiple devices and accounts.
- Use Siri for groceries: "Add Milk to my Grocery List".
"Before MealPlan, I’d buy food at the grocery store and then forget I had it .. a few days later it would go to waste. A few minutes every week standing in front of the fridge with MealPlan in hand will help you get the most out of what you have on hand. Plan it, print it out and stick it to your fridge!"

Exactly what I was looking for
I’m not using this (yet) to its full capacity as I’m not putting all ingredients in to form shopping list.
I am storing, sorting and organising recipe and meal ideas and planning out my week.
This app does exactly what I wanted an app to do. Loving it, thank you!
So Far So good
I have only just started using this and am finding it SOOOOOOO easy to use. Love their database of recipes all set up, can’t import ingredients from Taste.com, but even their shopping list doesn’t work well!
Can’t wait to use the wizard wand to plan a week without all the fuss :)
Meals not feeding to grocery list
I have a number of meals listed this week on the planner with the ingredients not feeding through to the grocery list! Wet annoying when you spend time to list all ingredients for the meal for the sole purpose of the grocery list!
Not perfect yet.
This app should do everything I want, but it just doesn't. The ideas are good but it won't always sync from my iPad to my iPhone; some weeks it does and others it doesn't. Also, the meal plan sometimes adds ingredients and sometimes doesn't, from the same website. It seems to lose meals from the whole site when I delete it from a menu - frustrating, especially when I've added all the ingredients manually! Please keep working on this app because it's exactly what I want. Adding a barcode scan would be great too.
Now I'm really angry - I've just spent over an hour planning my weeks meals and the app has emptied all 3 weeks records. I was trying to sync with my phone and as I had done last week, had to delete the previous record to reload the data from my iPad. After 4 attempts to sync the phone, all of a sudden everything disappeared from my iPad. I had no other record - it's ineffective to backup (I did email last weeks MealPlan to myself but it can't be opened. This is more than frustrating! I want a refund.
Over priced & it's an half baked app
I've been having issues with one of the key function of this app, which is enabling you to add a online recipe & grocery list. You'll end up have to add your own quantity and unit for every all the ingredient, which is too time consuming. It just defeat the whole purpose of having this function in the first place. Some of the online recipe just doesn't work properly to be added in as well.
Great app
Very simple interface, allows you to add the ingredients for a recipe and calculates how much you need to buy for the week, with space to include a link. Brilliant!

Overall a very useful tool. It takes a while to get started because you have to set up your meals, but it is definitely worth it. I thought that you were meant to put each individual food item in before realising that you create meals, so I wasted a fair bit of time at first. Once I got the hang of it, though, I really like it. I especially like how the grocery list is broken up into aisles - it saves you a lot of time shopping. I now build my menu for the week on the tablet version and then use the grocery list on phone version when I'm at the shops.

Love the app. But would love that if you only selected dinners that you could do a month's worth.
Brilliant APP
This is the best app I've ever bought. Consumers want a tool to do a job, they want it to do the job as simplistic and logical as possible, it's amazing how many developers don't understand or commit to this. This app has been very smartly thought out. Very easy and straight forward to use. The meal plan simply does the job the best way possible, including creating a shopping list, I highly recommend this app.
Love it!
Simple and easy to use - exactly what I was looking for. Love the web function too.
