Terrible app, came here to find language exchange partners and friends and all I get are a bunch of female accounts which are most likely scams, what is the point of any of this app when it’s all just full of scammers, even when I add the people that live in countries specifically ones that I want to learn language yet I get so many scam accounts, beware of this app.

there are a lot of weird people using the app inappropriately, but there seem to be plenty of good people too. my biggest issue is this app seems to slow my phone down terribly whenever i use it?

I have used the app for over a week now and it actually scares me how many scammers are on it. As others, I’m on HelloTalk but wanted to try meeff for a change and although a lot of the accounts seem genuine, there are also equally as many scammers on there using pictures from people on Instagram. They lure you in with being really interested in you and really share the same values etc. but then eventually you find their pictures on Instagram. To be honest, you only really find out what they’re intentions are if you continue the conversation on other apps and they send you another picture which you can then use on reverse image search sites. I already reported someone, but the account was still up after two days. Unfortunately, the option to take a screenshot to avoid being scammed will get your account being suspended, but you don’t get suspended for scamming people. That’s just not good enough! But all this could be avoided if the developers would initially do a face recognition and people getting verified. I met a couple of nice people on there but it’s almost a little like playing with fire on meeff. Please, developers…great idea but needs improvement!

Hi there, I just want to leave this review for the company who made this app. It has been a wild journey but I loved every moment of it. I met so many people some I made great and amazing connections with and others I guess we just couldn’t connect. But none the less my time on this app for the last 3 years has been full of surprises, and I was able to learn so much. I’m writing this review to thank everyone who played their role in my life up to this point and to thank the people who took their time into making this app, and for life directing me here. I am thanking you because I have met my special someone and he truly is the one for me and I will continue with him for the rest of my life, so now I would like to say goodbye. Soo. Meeff a dating app disguised as a language exchange app.. I downloaded this as I’m learning Korean language and visiting Korea next year I’m also interested to make friends and learn other languages too! I thought okay? Let’s try this! Where do I begin! I’ve met a couple of great people on here!! But when I say a couple I mean literally A COUPLE. Here’s my experiences.. met a fake using someone else’s pictures reported to that Korean influencer on Instagram and the fake account doesn’t even get taken down! But it shouldn’t have been up anyway on meeff! Verification where is it??? Second pervs omg pervs for days.. then in between some lovely genuine friends! Thank you to them!! I still keep the app. But in no way is it at alll language exchange for many! Just note that! Okay I wasn’t looking for any relationship but I met him.. problem he seems to good to be true? Very interested, wants to talk each day ggreatt thx meeff I met someone but while all that’s good! We again trusting through pictures vice call Instagram etc! Leaving the app shouldn’t be allowed so quick here’s some suggestions for you! - VERIFICATION!!!- to many fakes allowed not always being blocked and reports? Do you actually look into these. How to verify get them to upload a picture copying an action from the app and or voice clip? Then to note they are genuine a tick or verified badge next to them!!! - ads! I get you ads help in revenue as the app is free but really do not need after every little message that just puts people off using!! - video and voice call this should be option if someone is verified already they can use voice call! - limited amount of messages before anyone is allowed to leave the app while this seems constricting if you don’t bring in verification it’s good to build some sort of connection rather than weirdos asking for socials immediately and allowed to move! Can’t think of anything else right now! Just heads up guys fakes don’t always have fo be trying to get you to invest etc remember catfish can lure you into false sense of security get you to let your guard and give our information etc and maybe just emotionally wreck you! Be careful on this site not just for fake accounts but for people like this too… be careful fo leave the app and hopefully they will add verification at some point. Other than the above mentions this app is genuinely not to bad to talking to people around the world and those that can be genuine! 😊

Please do not download this app, maybe try HelloTalk if you want to learn another language but not this one, it is full of scammers using pictures of other people god knows why.

The app is great … when it’s real people but the amount of fakes on there is just ridiculous. MEEFF please could you consider doing photo recognition technology when people sign up and even those with existing account, to prevent this? Think then it would stop people from being suspected and make the app more reliable.

The site banned my account with no evidence of wrong doing or speaking with me first. 😡
