Mercer app is unusable
Coming from BT Super where it integrated seamlessly with the westpac banking app, which is actually a good app, the Mercer app is terrible. It demonstrates a lack of investment in fund member experience. It is frustrating and confusing, and asks you to log in every time you open it. The fund performance charts are not intuitive or even helpful. The app is clearly some half finished project to make bastardized conversion of the website into an app and really makes you feel like Mercer doesn’t care about its fund members.
As a start, please fix:
- log in experience should be seamless and use Face ID
- general navigation around the app is very confusing and often requires you to exit the app altogether and re-start just to get back to the first screen
- it should be easy to understand what the allocation of your super contributions is (equities, PE, Real estate etc..)
- it should be easy to understand how much is in your super fund, how much profit / (loss) you have had and how much you are losing to fees
This app has the memory of a goldfish
I don’t know how many hundreds of times this stupid app has forced me to log in. It seems to have zero memory of me existing.
Please, get some advice from bank app developers.
Pointless app
What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t work.
Genuinely thinking of switching super provider because of this.
Shockingly Unreliable
Not sure why I’m with Mercer if this app is an indication of the services provided.
Every time I open it, it tells me there’s a problem logging in, then proceeds to log in.
You can’t see employer contributions.
It’s slow, laggy, horrible looking and just horrible to use.
And worse of all, I’m not the only one that thinks so, yet Mercer continues to do nothing to improve the experience.
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used in summary and will begin to review my account with them as this is one aspect of the total package that fails miserably.
Most backward app on the planet
Big sigh! Mercer updated the app. This means decertifying identity again!
Had the chance to look at the Sunsuper app (wife’s super). More data and much less drama!. If the app was the benchmark - every othe company in the world looks better!
Absolutely hopeless
Remembering that Face ID is set up would be a good start.
Terrible user experience
The terrible app is the same user experience as the terrible website.
The app logs you out every few days and you need to go through the FULL login in set up every time. Need to confirm a new PIN and set up Face ID every time!
Avoid Mercer super altogether. I’m honestly regretting the move.
Used to be ok, now awful
Set up the login, set up pin and Face ID then it used to work until the next update. Now it is virtually EVERY time you use this app, you have to set it up again. So annoying. The developers of this rubbish have obviously never tried to use it. Unfortunately zero stars is not an option. It has been like this for far too long, so it seems Mercer don’t care about customer satisfaction either.
