Meridian 157: Prologue

Beautiful amazing creative fun to play game.

Had a blast figuring out the puzzles and solving the game, but the way it ended had us shook. Can’t wait to continue!

I am impressed

As a Myst-like, this is very, very good. Unfortunately, there are a couple of times you’ll encounter standardized spatial logic puzzles that are divorced from any greater context, with no clues to help you, and if you aren’t great at those, you’re going to get a bit frustrated. I’m more of an environmental puzzle person, myself, and, while I managed to muddle through the first one, the second one, very late in the game, stonewalled me for about thirty minutes. In a game like the Witness, these kinds of puzzles are the norm, and the game slowly ramps you up to the harder ones, giving you time to get better at them. To have them appear out of nowhere in a Myst-like feels jarring. I don’t think I’ll be playing the other chapters, since I’m guessing I can expect more of them, but the game is otherwise engaging and atmospheric, so four stars.

Finished part 3. The story line caught my attention only at the later of the part 2. Now playing the second time to try to collect all the story pieces. I’m fascinated by so much details in the story notes.

The screen just became dark, and the music became silent, as soon as I opened it! Big disappointment!

why did you cut the game in the middle? otherwise, the games are great, the ambience and the puzzles, magnificent! but please don't make the ending pay off, if possible! Have a good day !

The prologue gives you an idea of the quality of the game ahead and convinces you that chapter 1 is well worth the money. Great job!
