Metronaut Sheet Music Reviews

I practice with an orchestra!

stickmaterpop on

I’ve used this App for over a year and it has improved every part of my playing. I can practice my flute pieces at any speed plus, I get an accompanist who never complains. I hear my recordings in the app, and it shows visual feedback as you hit, or miss!, the notes. Then there’s a huge database of music to explore. Highly recommend.

Genius!

This is what my iPad has been waiting for, and I didn’t know it! This is the most ground-breaking app I’ve seen since the first anatomy apps came out. The idea that I can play piano alongside an orchestra that <listens> to my tempo and plays along with me, as well as using the iPad as scrolling sheet music, is just so amazing I can’t even put it into words. It’s early days so I guess the back catalogue will expand progressively as time goes on. I recommend routing the audio through a Bluetooth speaker or something rather than using the iPad onboard speakers which sound tinny but ok, better in piano duet mode (yes it does that too! You can play either part!! I don’t know how good this app is for other instruments (yes it does that too, allowing for the different keys of different instruments, as well as changing the sheet music to whatever respective key you like :O anyway you can probably tell I already <love> this app, and can’t wait to try new pieces as they add them. And you can try it for free for a week or two, too! (And no, I don’t have any link to the developers at all, I’m just an end user who thinks this app is just awesome! :) enjoy

Great just one

I honestly love what you can do with this app, and it helps me a lot. I just wish that when it played the music, it played it as the instrument that I play. I play French horn and I think it would be easier for me if it was played like that instead of just on piano. Other than that I love this app.

Pretty good

I'm gonna admit, this app is pretty good, but omg!! I don't have enough money and they'll only give you a few lines to play for free. I really want to use the whole app for days, but I'm not able to because the free trial is only 7 days. I would really like if the sheet music is free, but you keep other features locked behind a paywall because the company has to earn money still, lol like the lessons on there.

the app has you choose ur instrument then brings you their subscription and you cannot continue without having to get the free trial and cancel afterwards. that should never be the case and this app really disappointed me.

Please click out right now and find a review that is less than 2 months old, and read that. Thanks! So I downloaded Metronaut for learning purposes. I take private lessons for the flute, and wanted to up my game for exams. I hopped into the app and tapped on one of the community posts. I listened to Ave Maria for a bit, and thought that it was really cool that you could share your learning on here! And then I clicked out of it and it kicked me out of the app, which was super annoying, and then I thought, let’s do some practicing! So I tapped on Japanese flute method lesson 1, and it loaded some pieces for me to play. I chose the first one, Lightly Row, and then noticed that I couldn’t play the full song without paying for the premium. I thought, whatever, it’s probably just for this one song. But no. You have to pay for premium to play the full version for EVERY SONG. YOU GET 2 BARS OF MUSIC, AND ONE THAT’S HALF FADED! I’M VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Please fix this. I also play piano, so I find it annoying that I cannot select 2 instruments. Please make it only premium for select songs, like very popular pop or rock songs, not ALL OF THEM! What if there’s a 3 year old violinist who wants to play full songs? This is truly unacceptable. Please fix all of this!

Want to give a five but can't for this one reason.

Thanks for any of the developers reading this. The only reason I cannot leave a f-star review is moslty that everything on the screen mostly for the Mac version is too small for me to read. My question is when is there going to be more display options to customize how the display screen relistate looks on the app. Ovearll, the app in my opinion has massively helped my trombone playing a lot mostly in the classical studies for modern pop and hard rock I would go on tomplay or improvise by ear. Ovearll, thanks for making a fantastic app for musicians.

There was no way to cancel during 7 day free trial period.

This subscription has never shown up under my subscriptions. I tried to cancel in the app many times - it said if it did not appear on your subscription list, it has already been cancelled. Then today I get charged the annual fee. When I go to cancel now, it’s a year before I can cancel. They just took my money and now I have to waste time getting my money back. It also said you would be notified ahead before being charged. That did not happen. Utter fraud.

Looks free, but you gotta pay to use it

Tinydelta on

I would love to go beyond the payroll to use this app, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to get around it. It’s a shame. This looks like it could have great potential, but greed makes it challenging to decide whether or not to pay for the app. Let users use the app for free, no strings attached, and then you will have more success. Otherwise, this appears to be an upfront cash grab…
